Thread: interdependencies??
Clothes, food buffs, armor for those who wish to wear it, vehicles, some raw materials, and of course, weapons. Currently I can't make any of the above, tho I can usually handle the raw materials area with my harvestors. So yes, we are dependent on the other classes.
Weapons is the biggie. In a weekend I may shoot out a pistol or two, depending on the harvest.
Currently, if you want to be able to harvest, after mastering Scout and Ranger, you can Master a combat class, and still have 19 skill points left over. Without that master in the combat class, you honestly can't kill a darn thing worth harvesting. As all the combat classes need a weapon, yes even TK with VibroKnucks, we are pretty much dependent on weaponsmiths at some point.
So the interdependence is there.
I do like the carving knife idea, as well as the jumpsuit idea. The trap idea is ok, but the droid idea smacks too much of BH and they will whine for days if we go near their "precious".

I'm not sure... but I think my weapons are made by someone else. Which would mean I'm depending on someone so I can kill my prey so I can harvest it. My buffs come from a doc, my armor comes from an armorsmith and my clothes from a tailor. My food comes from a chef. Tell me if I'm wrong here, don't I depend on them for this stuff?
Just because we don't go to an artisain to give us some crud electronics, or a DE to give us a crud droid, doesn't mean we don't depend on someone for something. You're thinking that ranger is some sort of crafting profession, where we need components to do our job. We're not. We're more on the line of a combat profession (PvE related) We have no need for components. We do need weapons, armor, food, buffs, or awell built group. (Not all applies for each creature though)
