Fellow Antarian Rangers,

I know many of you may already have a website but for those that don't, I have created a site that we (on Valcyn) use and have modified it to be used by any AR group on any galaxy.

We've been using this site for a couple months now and have made and continue to make many improvments. Currently, the site is more about functionality than beauty but that may change some day - or not.

The site allows us to track the resources stats per planet, track our orders and display the quantity collected and price to be paid by member, shows planets each member is assigned to in order to help keep the resources up to date, has it's own custom message board that allows us to communicate outside of the game, and several other features.

Wow... simply, wow... That whole Database / Orders / Stockpile system you have set up there is *really* nice.

I prefer the forums and graphical interface of Matatha's AR site...

Now if only we could incorporate the two to make one awesome, mindblowing Antarian Ranger website...

Would you think it possible?

Having multiple sites like this just won't due... especially for new recruits.

"Hey, I want to join the AR. What's their website?"

'Oh, well, you have one of ten choices...'

If you're willing, I'll try to contact Matatha and maybe we could see?

Ryland,

I just read you message you left on the site. It already does work the way you mentioned but may be a little hard to envision using the demo access.

Each AR Member has their own login and based on that login, determines what galaxy they belong to. Galaxies are kept separate except for forum topics entered and flagged as universal. These topics can be shared among all galaxies. Otherwise, each galaxy has their own set of resources, pictures, orders, etc...

When updating the Current Orders, each member can add their own harvests to that order. When a selling prices is entered for an order, the price each Ranger has accumulated so far is also displayed.

If you click on the "Amount Collected" link, you will see what I'm trying to describe.

Currently, each ranger keeps 85%-98% of the money the order is sold for based on his percentage collected for the order and a bonus for each 10k units collected. The remaining money goes to the AR Fund.

There's also an "admin level" that would be assigned to at least one member from each galaxy that can perform several maintenance things and a "Leaderlevel" that can mark the orders as finished and sold, update the fund transactions, and edit/delete postings if necessary and move topics to stay at the top. Orders can also be prorated when sold if needed (IE: You have an order for 50K Avian but your rangers have collected 75K. The Prorate option will prorate each of the rangers qty collected to total 50K for the group and move the remaining 25K to a new "Pending" order.)

I understand that the graphics are not the best. This is a work in progress and am currently concentrating on functionality and speedover esthetics.

Ranger Kharr,

I see now what you mean about the orders--again, I am amazed.

I also received word from Matatha that he e-mailed you to on the subject of incorporating our website into yours. Tell me if there's anything I can do to assist if Mat's still busy. I'll either be here, at the old forums, or the new forums.
