Thread: HARVESTING FOR $$$
Look on your server's trade forums for resources people are asking for. That is usually the easiest way.

In my opinion the biggest bang for your buck will be Pikets on Dantooine. If you get buffed up, go grab a couple of Piket missions (9400 creds usually) and head out. At each mission make sure you first milk the Piketsand then kill them and get their Herbivore Meat.
For each Piket Lair (assuming adults and that you know how to tap a lair so they don't aggro right away) you should get 9 adults (approx. 800-900 units of Milk and 500-1000 units of Herb Meat) per lair. I had Hunting IV when I was doing this and during one resource shift I managed to collect (hunting very casually) about 19K of Herb Meat and 23K of Milk. On my server trade forums I auctioned off both lots and got 800K combined for the two lots.
Chefs need the milk and Doctors need the Herb meat. Keep in mind that my set was just average stats also so if you continuallly do this and get some good spawns you could probably pull in some even better cash. And don't overlook the fact that with each mission run of 2 you are making 18800 creds just in the mission payout.
My tips-
1. Find someone who is willing to buy from you at at decent price. Let them say what they want, then you two haggle on the price.
Personally, I like tailors and architects, they don't care about quality, just quantity, Endor wool and Tatooine wool sell well, and just hides and more hides for tailors.
2. Harvest only on contract otherwise. If Joe the Armor dude says he want Widget Hides from NoGo planet, for so many CPU, go harvest. If someone says they might, or they would like, tell em cash talks, bs walks, start hiking. Firm deals only. First time they screw ya, do not harvest for them again.
3. Doctors by and large are cheap and avian is a giant pita to harvest. Poop on that.
I harvest hides by and large, with a sometimes trip into meat land. I am making out ok.
Trick - if you can milk it, do so. If you can get a mission, and milk it, then harvest it, do so. If you are on contract, can get missions, and milk it, then harvest it, do so. The more things you can get paid for, the happier you are. Almost never do I get paid only once on an animal.

Also, im not sure if the current harvests are the same on all servers but on ahazi I was running missions on dant.
It was slow going but the lesser bols have domestic milk that has an OQ of 980 something. Also, the herbivore meat is high 900's in OQ.
Does anyone know if any other mobs on dant give out the domestic milk at higher quantities? 25-35 units per milk is a slow process.

Pikets give 'round 80 units I think.
Piket longhorn female give me 80-110 (two contariners of 100+10) units.
Be ware with fierce piket protector(aggro creatures)

Just one more question regarding harvests... I know that some things require specific types of organic like "Tat. wooly hide". Are there any craftable items that require a specific type of milk?

I don´t know. Neither wich stats are sough by BE and Cheffs inm milk (I guess OQ is the main).

Regarding the Dant. milk harvests... I am aware that pikets can be milked but they give "wild" milk. I was wondering about a mob other than lesser bols that I can harvest "domestic" milk. That was the milk with the high OQ.
Don't chef's go after flavor and OQ? I rarely harvest for chefs, so I'm not really sure on that, I'm afraid.
Milking takes so damn long, I usually just skip the milk and harvest the meat/bone/hide, personally.
