Hello fellow Rangers,
Has there been any discussion as to if the Rangers will actually ever be able to filter for creatures in the mission terminals?
I think it would bea more useful tool than areatrack when contract hunting for other professions.
I would think it would be easier to do than to fix areatrack and would be much more efficient on the Rangers.
It's getting really old having to change through different weapons to get the right balance to pull the missions you need to get a certain creature and then having to refresh for about 10 minutes only to find one mission you are looking for.
Any thoughts on this?

Maybe we can have a ranger terminal where we choose the creature type.

I think it would be nice even if it wasn't limited to Rangers. I wouldn't mind being able to filter by direction, either. We can basically do that already though (with a ton of refreshes), so I don't see this as being a priority on anyone's list.

I started thinking about this, and there are missions of this type on explorer terms. Maybe a slight revamp of the explorer term will give us what we want here.

Great idea, but I think it belongs in the Core Systems forum.
Not because it's totally off-topic, because I understand what you're driving at. But I think that because this really affects every player, and has to do with something that's totally unrelated to the Ranger profession, it would get a better audience there.

I think the whole mission system needs a revamp. But it would be cool for rangers to have expanded creature choices.

I like this idea of creature sorting (or at least showing creture type in the main mission term window instead of the detail window) and i think it should be ranger only. After all bh get there own mission terms. Sorting by direction isen't worth dev effort though. I'd much rather just refresh a couple times to provide some semblance of reality and let the dev get on with more important things. After all finding a job usally takes a little more time than using an atm

Actually I believe this is totally ON topic. It has to deal with the Ranger profession. I believe that the BH's have terminals that are specific to their profession. If I am not mistaken, any scout can browse the Explorer terminals. therefore I believe the Ranger-only terminals would be a major boost for Rangers and their hunting/harvesting job.
I like the idea.

Yeah it's a pain in the butt to tell your group "OK, go for Enraged Rancors to the South" only to wait 15 minutes for that one guy to find something other than Brackasets to the Northwest. Argh!
And personally, I'd love to see them add something to the terminal to tell it how hard a mission you want. There's a serious problem when "solo groups" form, with 20 people getting challenging missions that any single member could do by themselves. It's the exact opposite of being a CH, when I couldn't complete missions that the terminal gave me when pets were grouped =)
