Welcome to Ranger. We are the most patient players on SWG. Smart buggers too.

Think about joining us for our Ranger Roundup. Wanderhome, Tatooine, Mos Eisley. Saturday May 22. Forgot the time. Not to worry, most of us will be very novice scouts.

I'll leave the combat ideas to the pros.

I like Rifleman since the /concealshot is pretty nice for a Ranger IMO. Not to mention as a Master RAnger you will be the fastest crawling rifleman around. I think alot of people favor Rifleman but there are fencers/TKA/Pistoleers and all that. I enjoy Rifleman but boy do I blow through rifles now since the speed is so fast. I may start buying by the crate.

Welcome. As for weapon profession, any will work. It really depends on your style. If you can't decide, just find an artisan to make you a die and roll it.

Welcome

For a combat profession I am really enjoying CH and Pistoller.

See my sig.

I have 5 skill points left which will get me 0/0/4/4 in Pistoller.

For pets purchase bio-engineered monsters, with light armour and 60% kinetic and high health. I have three level 31 gurrecks, which I swop about when their health gets low.

I find Creature Handler really helps the solitary hunter. Currently I use a bowcaster (rifle) but I've wandered all over the Marksman tree. If you can go high enough in the Elite melee professions you may not need creature tanks. But I haven't tried one yet, so I can't say for sure. Like the others I recommend trying the novice levels of each and figuring out which one is the most fun/fits best with the personna of your character. The one that gives you a warm fuzzy glow is the one you want!

Welcome!

I did Pistoleer until my Holocron grind (which started at Pistoleer, incidently). After finishing Fencer and Swordsman, I can't decide which one I prefer for hunting. I definitely fell in love with the melee professions while grinding. I think once the dual-wield finally comes out for Fencer, it will definitely make up my mind.
