ok, so last night I was out on Dantooine hunting Wild and Herbivore meat. (I really love it when 2 readily available meats shift in on the same planet with good stats).
I was taking on a piket lair, and several different classes of pikets, regulars, longhorns, ect. I am a TKM, so i was doing some area attacks to hit all of them at once. as soon as the targeted piket dropped, i targeted a different one, and noticed his HAM was unscathed. I zoomed out a bit and checked the others, and all of their HAMs were full. All of those area attacks, and none of them get hurt.
I tried this several times with a wide assortment of creatures and NPCs, and they all returned the same results.
I have no idea when this originally started, as I haven't been in lowca recently, i've been too busy flying around up in space in my Y-Wing.
Has anyone, either TKM or any other profession, experienced a similar thing lately?

Sometimes you don't get targeted by every critter. Longhorns defend regular pikets, but not the other way around. to be cetain, target, hit special, tab to he next and be cetaind you have actually hit each one once, first, before the area works.
I do know this: a piket (of any type) will run up to you and use the same animation, whether it is actually attacking or not, if it sees you. The only difference that you can tell is the "?" and "!" above their pointy heads. If you see that, it's not fighting you and your AoE is not touching them unless you hit them to induce it.

i know they were all attacking me when i did this. you can tell if they are by looking above their heads. if their HAM shows up, then they have aggroed you.
I know that before i went away for JTL beta all of this was working as it always had. where i could area attack, and it would hit ANYTHING whether it was aggroed on me or not.
like if i was fighitng pikets, doing area attacks, and got too close to a rebel NPC i would end up hitting the NPC with the area attacks too, then TEFing me, and making it possible for teh Uber 1337s to attack me.

Last night on dantooine(on Lowca) I was doing janta missions and a few times I would attack a Janta and not be doing any damage to him and then all of the sudden he would die. I think lag was so bad that HAM's weren't updating...that was with UA2, not sure about area attacks since I don't use them.

dantooine on Lowca was pure hell last night. took the radial menu 10-20 seconds to finish animating and show the harvest options.

I use a macro so I didn't notice that but my chat was lagging pretty bad and I kept warping backwards a few hundred meters when I was on my bike going to missions on occassion.

You might want to put /loot first, I have had problems with that last.

Hmm I've had it like that for almost a year now and I haven't had any problems..../loot or /lootall work the same in a macro as far as i can tell. The Loot window does not come up for me

Come to think of it putting /loot first might fix that problem I get every once in a while where I don't completly loot the corpse unless I hit the macro 2 times. I'll change it up and see what happens.
