I have been trying to avoid selling my harvested loot, giving away to my guild, cause I have heard how so many people like to shaft the average hard working ranger. Trying to pay next to nothing for our hard earned resources. Last night that changed.
I had been killing sharnaffs for about two hours and had 8k worth of meat. Lately I have not heard any requests from my guild, so I asked a random chef it they were interested in my goods. After a little discussion, I made a noob mistake.... asked 5cpu. The chef then pointed out that was to low of a price and was willing to pay 10cpu for my resources as soon as I finish of collecting 10k. Now my good friend the chef was not content with just offering me that little deal, but offered me 30cpu for dantooine meats of reasonable quality! The only catch is that the chef can only buy up to 100k of meatat that price.
Gotta love being a ranger!

Do not fall out with that Chef
, hehe.
I found that once I had a few regular customers who would purchase from me, then I always got paid the going rate, occasionally more.

You are probably still getting screwed over at 30 cpu
Seriously, if you want to make credits focus on the 100+ cpu stuff. Find out what is hot on your sever (check the trade boards, starport spammers, and auction planet chat) and go grind it. You can pretty much make 500k-1.5 mil per hour. I have been waiting to take a break from such resources for quite some time now, but they keep popping up (wooly for 100-300 cpu, avain meat for 100-150 cpu, etc)
Whatever people are offering at the starport or on the planet channel it will "usually" sell for 2-3 times as much on the trade boards (because they are just trolling for newbs to grind for them). I know some people all they do is AFK spam in the starport what they are buying and where to drop it off, then they flip it in the SWG trade forum.

Thanks for the tips!
I have never sold my stuff, just "heard" about it from the disgruntled ones! The ones that complain are always louder than those that don't!
I will start checking the trade forums to see what the going rate is. Still have a whole bunch to learn!
On a side note, I am just 2 blocks away from master ranger!!
