can someone post a mini-guide on how to make my signature more flashy? Do you get the option after a certain rank or number of posts? I want to add some color and maybe different fonts.

What I did was type it out in a post in graphical editor mode, do all the font and color mods there, and then hit Edit as HTML. It converts it to HTML and you can copy paste that into your sig box located in your profile.
It only will look right if the person viewing it has the right fonts/sizes though. On my work PC my sig looks nice with the Gothic and Papyrus fonts, but at home its a honking huge arial font.

I did what Paks did. It worked pretty well for me, but the sizes got a bit screwy for me. Basically, once you have your sig looking like you want it to, just put it into HTML mode and copy and past it in there.

I wouldn't know anything about a flashy sig
hehe.. mine's pretty simple. But I did mine by just typing the HTML into the Signature box in my profile. If you're not sure it's going to be the way you want it, just look at a previous post you made in a seperate window. Then refresh that page every time you save the changes in your profile in another window.
Incidentally, Mozilla Firefox users, like me, don't seem to have this option to color text within a post as it seems others have. Any color or linkage creation has to be done by manually typing HTML. (I've got the full spectrum of color hex codes memorized)

I found someone else's signature I liked and pressed right click and "view source". Then when I found the source I was looking for, I copied and pasted it into my signature and changed the colours and words to fit my characters.
So, i um, ahem, didn't use any actual intelligence and creativity at all, I um, just ahem, /foraged someone else's signature and /rescued the source.

I know this is about text sigs, but I made my own graphic sig before I discovered this forum doesn't allow them. Argh.
Gaze upon my glorious sig.

Lol! You should make your name a link to it in your current sig - that is awesome!
