Thread: Am I reading this right? New harvestable options?

TH just posted that they are going to do a total revamp of the loot system. Including revamping both creature loot and npc loot.
Now, if you read the outline that he posted, it seems to me that they are going to tie creature loot to harvesting ability. With the more ability you have in harvesting, the more options you have....
Holy crud, does this mean Master Ranger harvesting might be worth something?!

thats the way I read it, of course he only mentioned master scout as being better at harvesting special creature loot, hopefully that translates, though, to master ranger being best at extracting the brain of a cupa 
some interesting/exciting ideas for loot in that article

I like the part where they say that more loot will be stackable. I really hate filling up my inv with 11 units of segments or whatever when it could easily be stacked into one space.

I agree -- make your voice heard! I just came here right after postng to stir the pot and am glad to see others already noticed the ranger oversight. The new loot system sounds like it could be pretty sweet.

As a Master Ranger, with Luck from FS (soon to be Luck 2) I should really get some phat lewt, whatever the hell that is.
I would be happy with more hides per harvest, or multiple harvesting. Noooo, we get all kinds of crap coming off all kinds of critters.
You need a freaking score card to tell who uses what.

the most intriguing for me is the blaster modification loot they mentioned. make your beam a different color, or with a different sound and shape. hmmmmmmmmm

score card? nah, try more like a 100x100 table using size 2 font. this is gonna offer lots of variety in the loot (and I like the fish tank idea), but all we really want as for more rescources (multi resources) per creature...

I got made overt today by some dumb trooper in Espa, the doc hit him and his buds with poisons, I banged mindshots into him and his mates. When I looted him, I got a ball?
I'm tempted to start a collection of ST balls.

More work for rangers. If anyone should have a good shot at looting krakhu entrails or the optical orb of a veermok it should be us. Connect weird creature loot with our foraging mod and man, we would finally have a use for that skill. lol
