Well.. ultimate in numbers. Sadly it was just a dewback spawn, and neither the reptile meat or scaley hide was good.
Here are some screenshots of an apparently bugged spawn on Tatooine/Kauri the other night. This was a wild spawn of about 75-100 mountain dewbacks just east of mos eisley. A couple of guys from my guild came by to check out out, and it turned into a hilarious hunt with lots of incaps, one death -- even though mountain dewbacks don't deathblow... go figure -- one dead harvesting droid, and one MIA trapping droid that ran screaming away over the hills in fear.
Dewbacks may be weak, but in a group of 100 it's a different story. 20 of them aggroing at once isn't pretty, as we found out.
Radar
Herds
They don't look happy
Breeding??
When Dewbacks Attack
Ouch
corpses
Success, and a repaired droid
Incidentally, I /bug reported it.. Although I wouldn't mind running into something like that again.
Maybe they can take that bug and more it to Rori to populate the planet!

Heh, it must be something to do with dewbacks because I've witnessed this before on Tat too. I actually spent 5 minutes pretending to herd them.
Think I still have some screenies somewhere...

Man that's some serious graphics card! Your pics look really top notch!
As an aside, i've seen this with Dewbacks specifically before, but possibly not in such high numbers.

I've been hunting on tat the last couple nights and the mountain dewback natural spawns seem to drop a lot of dewbacks. But before this thread i never planned on saying it outloud for free it would get fixed

They should totaly put these types of spawns as a new feature. I think that this should happen more offten and I'm sure every ranger agrees with me.

The screens are awesome. I'd love to see large herds like these roam the planets (lag might get a little bad though).

Wow that's staggering.
What a great idea for multiplayer/group content. Creature herds!!!

Would be a great feature and another use for ranger if we could /trackherd, which had the chance of actually spawning a herd.
Would be a way to get back to the group hunt days too instead of the dreaded solo group.

For everyone who knows about my new Idea of the Day I will come up with one tommorow for this type of thing. Now how to do Herds...

Ah, herds. They need to make some wandering herds (with some hunting packs of predators, too). That would be soooooo cool.
