hey guys just wanted to drop in and say hi

ive been a chef for around 2 months and got tired of crafting and the work required to constantly be running my business so I will be dropping it over the weakend and starting my way to master ranger.... even though i have a long road ahead (Seeing how i dont even have novice scout yet lol) but it sounds like fun and I am also master pikeman so I'm looking forward to have another profession where my combat will be useful....

seems like you Rangers have a nice little community hear and from the posts the coorespondent is really good too

Welcome. Check out the grinding guide in the scout forum for the ways to do it best. Ask questions if you get stuck.

aye, this is the best profession in the game. but, its a long grind...and many days of exploring the terrain of the game lay ahead of you...its a good life.

The guide is great. It enabled me to go from Novice Scout to Master Ranger in 2 days. Though I don't suggest doing that. Looking back now, as fun as Ranger is, I wish I had taken the slower route and played with it some more during the lower levels.

yeh im not a hardcore grind, i didthe grind for chef in like 3 weeks to a month

i dont devote hours simply grinding it out... i did like 5 min here while waiting fro shuttle and another 5 min there

just made sure i did atleast 2 skills a week and i still was able to have fun while doing it,I think its a shame when people are like i mastered a profession in x days, scout i can probly do quick, except for camping seeing how much scout xp rancors give

yeh my friend was like i mastered doc inless than half a day, i was like wow that must have been fun

Best advice for grinding wilderness survival...

Find a place where you can drop a camp on the shore line. Fish while you sit in your camp. You get XP from fishing and even if its garbage, it still sells for decent on the bazaar. For some reason, some chefs like fish meat...

Glad to have you onboard C-J, you'll enjoy the journey.

(Hope you're remembering to make yourself a MASSIVE stack of brandy, synthsteak, canapes and veghash before dropping that chef? )
