I'm not sure if this has been discussed before, but I was browsing our newly-stickied "Rangers and the CU" thread. Calc,stated that the developers say there will never be the healing of BF in camps. So I thought...
why not set a limit to the amount of potential healing?
Let's say I'm out hunting about and I drop a camp. I have 350 BF or maybe higher. There is an ent with you (or maybe youre a performer yourself). Have it so you can't be healed lower than 150, or maybe 100 BF. That way new entertainers in cities won't get less business, because people at some point will have to head back into town for healing.
does this make sense? It just randomly came to mind, what do you guys think.

I've always thought that entertainers should be able to make and sell one shot jolts of their art. Albums, holovids of dance performances, etc. Something that you could buy and use in a camp or house (played on another player-crafted item) to remove a pre-determined amount of BF. The higher the entertainer's skill, the more each item could potentially heal. Entertainers wouldn't be out any business because these things would sell like crazy. And while it wouldn't eliminate afk buffbots, it might reduce the number of afk entertainer alts overall. It would most likely kill the social aspect of entertaining, though, so I guess it really isn't a viable option. Would be nice, though.

Id really like to hear the dev logic on this. It sounds like it comes from the same logic as emptying the stomach on cloning. If you limit it to dancers in an HTFB whats the harm? I remember TH saying "It will discourage people from going to cities". Well correct me if im wrong but due to lag (whether real or percieved again per devs) and the new 100 person rule. Wouldnt we WANT a small reason not to? They gave the jedi the ability to heal BH in total heal in themselves and others. If you give it to the one class with jedi wheres the logic of keeping it from us. And really id like more then "It just wont happen". The entertainer community wants this like we do. So its not even an issue of it benefitting one side.

I like both ideas - set a bottom limit on BF healing in camp and let entertainers sell one use chips that can heal BF in a camp, medcenter, empty cantina.
The chips would be like stims, work the same, except heal only BF.
Wow, this is sad, we have better ideas for the Entertainers than they do.

mainly cause these forums have been the think tank of SWG for the last year or so cause we havent had anything better to do with our time.give it about 6 months more, and we will be working on code for SWG 2.

I don't see how it would discourage anyone from going to cities.
90% of the players are TKM/Fencer/somethings with a few rifleman and docs thrown in there. I seriously doubt any uber-stackerwould waste the skillpoints just so they could heal their own BF.
Why can't we give ents another role in group missions? We both need it, lol.
I fail to see the logic too. The devs are weird sometimes.
