Currently I am working on finishing my FS xp grind with the intention to be a Jedi/Ranger once I unlock. Could I get some recomendations on how I should set my template up?

I'm assuming you plan on being a master ranger/jedi permenantly? If so I would suggest:
4100 defender, 4004(or 0044) lightsaber, master ranger.
alternatively
4004 lightsaber(or 0044), 1200 healing, novice defender, master ranger.
The first option gives you a lot of defense and you substitute the lightsaber for weapon skills. The second option is a bit less defense but gives you level 1 self healing for all pools, wounds, and battle fatigue.
