last night i dropped my master ranger tag for the first time since a got it in september. i had an imperial noob farming in AH and killed one of my guilds entertainers who was there to undeclare after being forced overt by a scan. it wouldn't have been to big of a deal but the imp was very ignorant about it when she did it. so i dropped my master ranger tag for the novice scout tag, put on my scout outfit that i was givin for starting the game, and broke out my speeder( not my swoop) and pretended to be a noob running missions in anchorhead. unfortunatly the imp showed up with a few friends and handed my azz to me gbut it wa still funny even though i almost cryed when i took down the master ranger tag. lol

I haven't been attached to my tag in a long time
And if I'm headed to the krayt graveyard, the title gets dropped once I land at Mos Entha. (unless I'm there to offer services).
Incidentally, I like keeping my Master Ranger tag up when I'm PvPing or just hunting creatures while overt. I guess it makes me look like I'm an easy target, but I win 9 out of 10 solo fights. (actually the last was 4 on 1, and I took out 3)

I usually keep mine up, if anything for the awe factor lol. Especially when they ask "How long have you been a Ranger?"
Yes, I sometimes get annoying tells like:
"Are you free tomorrow to do some tracking?"
"I'm looking for the Tat Boar. Can u help plz?"
etc, etc, etc.
But, I wear my tag like a badge of pride or insanity(take your pick). I've had it too long and worked too hard for it to turn it off. The only time in recent memory I've disabled it was when I was doing the Hero of Tatooine quests myself, because I didn't want to tip the griefers in the area off.

I worked hard at it, and wear it with proudly. Every now and then I feel like I want to drop it and get another profession, until a noob Scout asks if I can help him out.

I changed my title from Master Ranger to Gunslinger this weekend. I decided to finish up the Hero of Tat quests and didn't want to deal with tells asking me to track things that I was looking for. It didn't occur to me to change my tag until I was standing in line for a buff in c-net and I got a tell asking me to track kimos. I explained that I was taking the weekend off from "work." It was then that it dawned on me that having my tag up might subject me to tells while on Tat. It was with great regret the I changed it.
I'll change it back as soon as I can figure out a pricing structure for tracking. It's the question I get the most.
