So, yeah. Back in my former day I was the Buff Reliant kind of guy, but those days are gone. It did not take much thinking to realize 'hey, maybe 400 health/action is a bad thing to have when out hunting unbuffed'
So, what foods, and stat migrations, would you guys suggest for a Rifleman/Ranger Human

Rifles need lotsa mind !!
Foods to use would be brandy/ahrisa/canape - all boost mind. Vercupti is always nice to have whatever proffession you are. Citros snowcake is nice for the added accuracy (not really needed if your already master but good for grinding)

Watch as I indulge my Smuggler side and point out that carrying a little Muon gold is a handy "Oh sh*t!" solution when you find yourself all out of mind, with your stomach full.

I have;
550
400
400
550
400
400
900
1100
700
That does fairly well fighting unbuffed, but you'll want to hold off on the special spamming regardless of your stats.

I was thinkign isntead of padding mind so much, balance it out with the rest, and use brandy/ahrisa.
The main foods i'd end up using are Brandy, Ahrisa, and maybe Veghash
Death to Canape!

I have always done well with this:
800/425/425
800/425/425
900/700/500
Food covers H and A, Drink covers M. There are enough HP to live and the armor tends to be kenetic only and just some pieces. Not only are the numbers quite utilitarian, there are probably withing the limits of the comming Human re-nerf. Muon still knocks the mind outa danger range in a pinch.

When I was a riflewook on radiant, I spent pretty much the entire time whacked out on muon and brandy. Also, my mind stats were pumped as high as they could go, which wasn't incredibly high since I was a wookiee.

I say as a rifleman you arent/shouldnt be getting hit often, so primary hit points arent as high a priority. Instead having high secondaries will allow youto use more specials, and thus drop the creature faster.

I have a setup similar to Frederick and i find it works quite well. I have also found with master Rifles that , 90% of the time , just using auto attack will take out most creatures at distance. Have maskscent up all the time and p-darts ready when creatures actually notice you are shooting them.
For foods, ( and i may get chastised for this) garmorrl and brandy. This combe allows you to use a few specials when you need them.Have canape ready should you need to regen your minds stats fast. I also have nov.medic for using stim B's .
As far as armor, a nice encumbrance sliced 76%ubese jacket and some boots. I am hunting yavin right now and this set up works , i just have to make sure not to aggro the arachnids or klikniks(sp?) too often.
Hope some of this helped.
