I was asking the same thing on the last page of that list thread. I should be hitting novice Ranger soon and like the idea of representation of the Antarians on Gorath. If you get the ok to start it up, let me know. As soon as I hit NR, I'll join you.

You start it like you would any other guild. (Running it and keeping it active is a different story altogether)

Antarian Ranger FAQ
Another FAQ - Same text basically
The name "Antarian Rangers" comes from the P&P RPG game.
In SWG, Different servers run their guilds different ways. Honestly, all have only a few members, and many have disbanded or faded away as members left the game or moved on to other professions.
Phenix or Fred could give a better background on this.. my memory is a bit foggy. But the idea was to create a ranger only guild to help other rangers in their endeavors and to form a close knit group among rangers on their respective servers. The community discussed ideas how a ranger guild could span several servers and share a common goal.
The goal these days is basically just for other rangers to form a community on their own server with like-minded members of the same profession. It's hard, if not impossible to run an Antarian Ranger guild in the same way the RPG game describes it. We're not a paramilitary profession... jedi don't need our help, unless you count tracking for the Knight Trials. But most would prefer to find those creatures on their own as our presence only causes them to show up on the terminals, and only seek our services when they get tired of trying to find Graul Marauders.
Some are exclusive in their faction... others reb/neutral only.. Incidentally, ours is all imperial/neutral, since that's what the starting members happened to be.

I am under the impression that you are only allowed in one guild at a time correct? The guild that adopted me a few weeks ago is awesome and I don't want to leave it. The Guild of the Iron Circle in Iron City, Corellia is awesome and have done nothing but helped me out from day one and I'm a very loyal member.
Am I SOL if I don't want to leave my guild.

I think if we where to have ARs on Gorath that it would not be a guild but a player grouping, so we would not have to leave the guild you are in, kinda like a sub-guild that would help each other out.

Any word on this? I hit 4343 scout last night and novice CH so I'm a stone's throw away from NR. I like the idea of helping Jedi and as someone mentioned on another Ranger forum, I too have a biased opinion of how a Jedi is supposed to act in this game. I love to RPG and those Jedi who do it right, have my loyalty.
By the way, went on my first rancor hunt last night. Got the scars and the cloning memories to prove it, hehe.

I have been asking about this for a while too. Never got responses on the AR sites. Keep me in the loop, definitely interested in such a grouping.
