Learn something new everyday. Today was one of the rare times that I was actually overt, and whatsmore, overt and sitting in a HTFB with a group (yea, I know, in a group! In a camp!). So I go to disband my HTFB and see a menu I havent ever seen; Requisition Items. OOO thats new, I say to myself. So I take a look. I can get rocket launchers, mine fields, turrets and all manner of things just by using my camp and not having to go to a recruiter! Didnt get anything at the time, probably never will. But its nice to know that I could if I needed to.

yep and others can doit as well. From your camp.

I didn't realise the prices were different. But that sort of makes sense.

Some professions get goods at a 'knockdown' price, Master Smuggler for instance can buy a Marine backpack for 1125 instead of 1500.

Seems there are racial modifiers too, even on Rebel items? (Same backpack costs a bothan MS 2250, non MS 3000 )(source: http://swg.questloot.com)

JB here's an idea for us, we organise PvP battle's and setup overt camps for people to stock up on goods, charge them for use of the camp, or to sell FP... ok stupid question HTF do u sell faction points?

Here's the story.

Icky and I were hanging around Bestine preparing to go to Dathomir to hunt rancors with some friends. For laughs we had decided we'd forego buffs instead of making ourselves invincible and laying waste to lair after lair. We grouped up with a random newbie we'd found and headed to the starport.

At that moment who should we see but an overt webel, buffed and armoured and carrying a lightning cannon. What he didn't have was mind buffs so after a brief consultation we decided that between my stun baton and icky's Master Head Shot (for the win) we had the beating of this guy. Cue a dash to the recruiter. "Where are you going?" asked the random newbie.

We declared, immediately triggered the covert timer, and raced back to the starport. "Where are you going now?"

With the bad guy disposed of we took our ships to Dathomir and promptly set up a camp 800m away from Science Outpost. "We'll be safe here," I said to icky, "in our camp. In the middle of nowhere." "Indeed so," he replied. "No webel gankage for us."

The covert timer eventually ran out while we were killing rancors and no other enemies showed up. But to think we were advertising our presence the whole time. Doh!

PS The random newbie died a few times but must have made enough credits from the missions to keep him going for a couple of weeks.

Hehe, well, I'm game. Just got to manage to be on at the same time AND not stuck in the middle of stuff.

I'll need to go out and get some faction points again though. Spent the last lot on furniture for my 'suub.

Yeah everytime ya get on Im in the middle of Guild business or helpin a nooblet on tat. As for FP Yeah Funature for me as well. VT-49 and the guild hall aswell. Not to mention my Yachts.

JB Rank effect's tranfer rate. Im Col. in the Imp and its costs 29 fp to trans 250. So as your lower rank higher the transfer penalityMy alt is master smuggler so the Faction Purchase rate i have is 125FP at 10k. Think its same cross board.

Ok, not really. I just go to where no one usually goes and hunt 'til I go back covert.

The command is /delegatefaction. Cost you more points that what you give. I think I sold 3500 and it cost me 5000. In that neighborhood. Smugglers get better rates, like 1-1 or something.

And I once had a HTFB set up as an aid station/pet healing/swoop storing/calling/buffing station (this was a while back) during a raid on some Imp bases on Naboo. Of course once the other side realized where it was they sent someone to attack. Ooops, the Ranger is also buffed/armored and has pistol skills. Never send a meleer to take on a running ranged person. He had no TN. I stayed out of range, whaled on him a while, and while the camp poofed after 10 mins, it's not like I had trouble making another one. He was not happy I beat on his armor. That and the bleeds I gave him musta hurt. Leastways he went away.

to clarify some of this:

ANYONE can sell faction points (as a declared member of said faction) using the /delegatefaction command.

The higher your rank in your faction, the better the transfer rate. Colonels get a 1.18-1 transfer (The seller gives 1.18 faction for every 1 the buyer recieves). I believe private is something like 3-1 transfer.

Smugglers get no bonus as far as transferring FP goes. They do get a 25% discount at Master Smuggler and at Underworld 4 they get the ability to buy FP from a faction recruiter.

Raid on the scylla server have a bad habit of killing me while I'm messing about with trying faction camps, finaly got them to agree to bugger off till i could get back to covert, then -magus- turned up wanting to try something ran away got his BFG bounty hunter gun, then killed me again (never mind me telling him if he's declared not to bother finding me, as was trying something), now i deal with rebels who i know and trust lol
