I know that Rangers are considered a support/non combat profession but I do have one concern.
Will Rangers ever get natural resists to poisons and diseases?
I dont mean anything that would infringe upon doc resist buffs but I just want something that would make me a bit hardier in the wilds. Something that would decrease duration and damage would be great. My tantel boots are +3 poison resist. Why not just add a disease/poison resists +5, +5 +10 +10 +10 thru the trapping line to Master ranger?(just suggested numbers)
Seeing as for quite some time combat medics were overpowered, a profession as semiuseless as ranger having natural resists to diseases and poisons wouldnt be a great smack in the face to the world of pvpers. I doubt that having resists would ever make Ranger the flavor of the month... lol.
I dont think this would be unbalancing. Honestly TKM's meditating away poisons and diseases is the favorite extra profession of every jedi in the making. That one line of meditation is one of the most useful lines of alot of professions. I dont think its much to ask to see if we could slowly accrue resists to poisons and diseases thru the ranger profession tree. Make it trapping since that could use some love.. hehe.
I dont want details or anything concrete but I was just curious as to if there is discussion or at least a mention of it amongst the private discussion forums. Also, curious as to Owen and others thoughts on it and to see if its something that could possibly be brought about as part of the CURB.

(removed per NDA)
I was most excited when
(removed per NDA)
Then the arguments started over
(removed per NDA)
Now stop removing what i say
(removed per NDA)
No really quit it

Quit teasing meh! lol
quit asking. the NDA isn't something to toy with. violations bring REAL legal action, and banning accounts is the LEAST of the penalties an offender will be subject to.
anyone who KNOWS what the CURB is bringing can't tell you.
anyone who TELLS you can't know what the CURB is bringing.
keep an eye on the dev tracker, and see what they're willing to say.

the real answer is: isn't it more fun to open your presents on Christmas morning? I mean, you can sneak around and find them first, but it's a letdown when you get them on Christmas. Trust me on this: the Combat Upgrade will be good for the game. Other than that, you gotta wait 'till Christmas.

Lammgrier,
Kairene's been here a long long time. They know we cant answer and just wants general details. So its ok and besides the CURB are what a lot of people are really baseing the future of the game on.

so true... personally i hope that while they wait to really upgrade the ranger on its own terms, the CU will give us a few useful perks that make us a bit more useful.

I could tell ya, but then I would have to kill you, then myself.
I really am not into suicide.
As far as I know, I have been a good wittle Scout and not said squat. Sometimes being a trifle stupid is a blessing.

no, I will not tell you...

Bah... lol.
Alright alright... I just wanted to know what people might push for. Not for anything that is is/was/going to be discussed. Oh well..
I understand the NDA fully. I wouldnt want anyone to get into trouble for dropping me or anyone any tidbits of info here and there. No biggie. I just have to have a bit of faith that we are in good hands.. hmmm... anyone care to let me become a correspondent so I can have access? hehe.. Then I will give it back. I promise.

Trust in our fellow Rangers.
They all appear in a fairly chipper mood, there doesn't seem to have been much in the way of grumping or account cancelling, so I'm thinking that good things are coming.
We'll know when we know and till then it's not fair to put the Curbies on the spot.
As Sgt Carrot says, you just do the job that's in front of you.

I don't know about you, but I like to plan in advance what I'll spend the refunds of the dud gifts on ![]()
and until I experience otherwise, I'm expecting there to be a few duds in this particular xmas bundle. Not least because I'm used to Aunty SOE rarely picking a nice gift in the past ![]()
