I love seeing player made videos like this - we need more. Specially as Rangers.
Thanks!
And I agree, we need more player made vids. Most of the one's I've seen were all Reb/Imp stuff...I wanted to do something different.

Decided it's been awhile since I made a video. Finally found a little program to capture my in-game footage. The end result is my Video dedicated to Rangerdom.
Right Click, Save As. 9.16mb<
Feedback is appreciated, but not required. Thanks for taking the time to watch.
(Sorry for the choppy video...things didn't compress quite as I wanted)

I love it.
BTW, what program did you use to capture game footage? Would love to put something together myself.

Fraps. It says so at the top of the screen in the movie.
I've heard that Fraps is rather memory intensive though. It looks like that was the case here becausewhen the camera circles around the character it is not smooth.
Good job on the filmthough.

Stop by the entertainer boards, they have had quite a few links posted there, and most of the ones I have seen are not surprisingly the Cantina Crawl series.

Yeah, Fraps. I'm planning on buying the full version so as to not have the watermark lol.
As for the memory intensive, it's not too bad. The reason it's so choppy is because I turned the graphics up all the way to make it "look" good. I only have 512mb RAM in this machine, so I'm usually running on the lowest graphics setting.

What did you use to capture the video? Framerates were very low.

Fraps - www.fraps.com
I had the program set to 30FPS, which is what it captured in. It's my game that had the FPS so low because I turned up all the graphics options as high as possible.
It came out super smooth when I had my graphics turned down to normal, but the "scenery" wasn't as good. (ie, no grass, less viewing distance, less tree's, etc). I figured looking good with some frame rate drops was better than looking barren heh.

Try a comprimise between the two. Since its a good video the choppiness hurts it though and we could use this to help promote us
