Two weeks ago you'll remember I posted that I found a GPS baby and in five minutes it was gone to a cool CH named Xarr. Well over the weekend I get a tell from a friend of his saying that she needed a good outdoorsman.
I like helping people out so I said sure, what big game do you need?
"Fish," she says.
DOH!
Turns out she's one of the most sought after interior designers on my server and her speciality is fish tanks. So off I go to the wonderful Mountian Dew rivers of Lok. I can get 20 fish in about 30 minutes before I go stir crazy and have to go kill something.
Lok is great for fishing as it's high concentrate fish with zero vegetation. Problem is, she needs many striped fish and Lok just doesn't have them in abundance. So guiess where I found the best fishing on my server?
The city pond in downtown Coronet, BAAAAHAHAH!
She's paying 15k for 20 fish and I get to keep the meat, all she needs is the bodies so that's cool. A good diversion for the time being

I love fishing after a long day of mindless violence. Only problem is I wish it was more interactive. Like almost everything in this game its just point and click.

I love fishing in this game. I found this pretty little location on Talus where i had my house on a knee deep lake in front of a mountain range. It was the most amazing scenary. Totally unbuilt and 4700m from a shuttleport and starport. I can powerfish or relax fish there for house.
So i went there sunday and there are no 5 houses butted up against mine! WTH!? There is 100 acres of lake here to develop and they take my fishing spot?????
(Sigh back on topic)
I spent seven days fishing on Dath near the science outpost for my BE wife. Probaly the best seven days i had in game. I had my pet out besides me and my droid out every so often to keep my company as well. They do need to make the mini-game more interactive though. Since its really a simple sequence once you learn it

Speaking of pets, I almost wish they had some kind of therapeutic value in the game other than just being hunting and killing bots. Would be nice to get some mind back while sitting in your camp playing with your pets.
While my dog drives me nuts, she's still a good dog and my cats are downright laid back and relaxing as well.
Gonna get my English bull dog after I graduate OCS and he's going to be my platoon mascot. Gonna take him out into the field and really play it up then, hehe.

You know as a soloist in game because of being a ranger (although running a large guild now) I already see my pets and even my droids that way. Sure they dont benefit my ingame avatar. But they sure do benefit me as a player of the game to watch the cats scratch there ears or just to watch them while camping.

I like fishing too. Except sometimes the reel-in process is ridiculously long, and so you think it's a big fish right? nope it fits in the palm of your hand! lol I currently have my biggest fish on display in my Yacht....which no one has ever seen lol
i'll be necro'ing my deepsea thread when news of our revamp comes around. I've very passionate about that idea.
