You get Wilderness Survival XP!
I thought I could only get it by sitting in camps for hours on end until I took a break and cast my line.
Too cool! The only bad thing is I can't seem to fish while in camp - the camp boundaries won't allow it; I always end up leaving the camp, even if I set it up right next to a body of water. Oh well, at least this way is more entertaining.
BTW: Current spawn of Endorian fish meat is at 900+OC and PE.

What server are you on. I was fishing on endor, my maskscent broke, an arachnid warrior attacked me, breaking my camp. My kaadu almost died defending me. and when it was over, the fish had 100 OQ, and the spider meat wasn't much better.
You can place your camp in the water, just get up to the tips of your toes in water and then use camp.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention I'm on Starsider and those meat stats are probably only good for our server right now.
