Thread: Traps Experimentation
"so did they take this option out for traps"
The ability was removed in the last publish to remove confusion, as you noted, experimentation did nothing. ![]()
That's what I figured. Does using high quality resources help the traps at all? Make them affect the target more often or for longer, or anything like that?
Forgive the rant, but I'm feeling a bit ... umm... CASTRATED by this fact that we do not have as much latitude with aspect of our profession. We hunt and traps are one of the marks of this profession. I'm tired of "amazing success" traps failing 2 or 3 times in a row (just be fore I get creamed). Experimenting with trap effectiveness / duration would help Rangers across the board make a better living for themselves.
Did I help with this particular thread - probably not... but thanks for letting me vent.

I don't think I let you vent, you just did it. LOL
I know what you mean though, and understand your frustration.
Do higher quality resources give a better success rate when the traps are used? Does anyone know?

Doubtful... Otherwise there would be some reason to experiment. ![]()
yes, yes, and yes...
You experiment to make your lure traps last longer. You can also experiment that trap launcher of yours for slightly better accuracy or fire rate.
Then again, you can experiment that nifty new trap to give it a heat, cold, acid, or whatever type of attack you need
Wha.. What?? Oh, crap, I just woke up
