Thread: Rangers of Bria: Brias First Informal Association of Rangers
Hey Rangers on other servers, just wanted to share some info about a group that we started on Bria that has become incredibly successful. I posted a link to our new thread with mission statement, as well as the text of the statement. This is going really well, feel free to borrow from this if you are creating your own Ranger groups on other servers...

Who are the Rangers of Bria?
The Rangers of Bria (RoB) is a loose association of Rangers who hunt together on a regular basis; our goal is to be Bria's number one provider of high quality organic resources. We are not an official PA or guild, and never will be, but offer companionship, fun, and diversion for anyone who has taken the path of Ranger. We are a distributed organization, with distributed leadership, which allows us to be very flexible. We are also 100% faction neutral, all are welcome.
RoB Hunts
RoB hunts go on almost every day of the week, with a single hunting party normally numbering between 7 and 12 hunters; the majority are Rangers, but hunting parties can also include friends of RoB (see below), including doctors, entertainers, rangers in training, customers, heavy weapons support (depending on the prey), etc. You do not have to be a member of RoB to come on a hunt, but you do have to be invited by a member. A typical RoB hunt lasts 2 to 3 hours, and in that time, depending on the prey, we can gather huge stacks of organic resources (for example, in one hunt on Endor we can easily gather over 30K units of wooly hide hunting Mantigrues).
RoB Membership
Any Ranger can become a member of RoB; you must come on hunts with us, be sponsored by a current RoB member, and be approved for membership by two RoB Hunt Masters. Members will be added to the friends list of every other member, will be kept informed about hunts and resources orders and shifts, and will have admin access to the RoB lodges that are going up on almost every planet on Bria.
RoB Rules
The goal of RoB is to have as few actual rules as possible, but there are several very important ones.
1-Never show up to a RoB event OVERT or with a TEF. Period. If you do, you will be ignored
2-When on a hunt, the Hunt Master is in charge, period. They make hunt rules, and you follow them, otherwise you will be kicked from the group. Each Hunt Master may have a slightly different style, so pay attention.
We do not require anything in particular from RoB members (money, etc.), but every so often we will conduct RoB hunts and put the money into a RoB kitty for lodge upkeep, etc.
RoB Customs
Rules are set in stone, customs are generally, but not necessarily always followed. Here are some typical RoB customs:
1-We are friendly
2-We are mature (hehe, I said generally, ask the poor people who spam us for invites and then follow us around trying to kill-steal; we have been known to camo up and walk them through nasty aggro mobs)
3-We are generous
4-Resources come first, XP comes second
5-We like pets, sometimes
6-We take care of each other all the time
RoB Members
There are two types of RoB members: Hunt Masters and Hunters. Hunt Masters are approved to accept resource orders and organize and lead hunts. Hunters are invited to all hunts. Any Hunter can become a Hunt Master, you must be nominated by a Hunt Master, and approved by two other Hunt Masters.

RoB Lodges
The lodges will act as meeting places, item storage, and sales of Organic goods. Everyone can enter and use the facilities (crafting stations, etc.), but to be added to the admin list for the house you have to be a RoB Hunter or Hunt Master. Once on the admin list, you can store goods for group use and take what you need to use...we'll keep the houses stocked with camo kits and other key ranger resources. Eventually we will put vendors in some of the RoB Lodges for sales of organic resources. We currently have our first RoB lodge on Lok, and have scouted locations on Dantooine (between the mining outpost and the abandoned rebel base) and Tatooine (at the Krayt Graveyard). WPs to the RoB lodges will be distributed in game.
Friends of RoB
RoB is always looking for Doctors/Combat medics, Entertainers, Commandos, Bounty Hunters, Marksmen of all types, and Scouts looking to become Rangers...to assist on RoB hunts. If you are interested, there is great XP to be had (especially scout if you harvest, and medical/entertainer healing). Contact any RoB Hunter or Hunt Master and tell us about yourself for an invite.
RoB Weekly Hunt Threads
Every week RoB will post a new thread for buyers to post resource requests. Hunt Masters can accept requests at their own discretion, and will then organize hunts and let the buyer know when to expect resource delivery. If you have resource requests, place them on the weekly threads!
So Why Join RoB?
We have tons of fun andwe provide a great distraction from the drudgery of grinding XP, finding holocrons, or fighting the GCW. We also make good money on these hunts...8 of us made nearly a million creds in a couple hours on resources alone, not counting our take from the missions, hunting Mantigrues on Endor.
So what are you waiting for, contact a Hunt Master or Hunter today, and join the ever-growing ranks of the Rangers of Bria!

Excellent work. On Gorath we have a similar group consisting of mature, fun hunters and friends of hunters... It's very successful there too.
Very well thought out and I like your guidelines... Congrats and good hunting!

when is RoB's next event? i'll be sure to make it out, if i've acquired enough combat skills by then >_>
No need to sweat whether you are skilled enough. We watch each other's backs, and the whole point of joining us for a few hunts now, is that you will skill up very fast on one or two nights of hutning with us. We have a really great diverse group of combatants coupled with Scout and/or Ranger skills.
You may not be a Hunt-Master right away, but any skill set is always welcome, and as long as you can harvest, you can add value. All you harvest gets you paid, and profit is what it's all about. Plus, we teach and work with all new folks as to how to effectively group, and how to properly kill beasts with minimal risk to you.
