At what level of Trapping skill can I expect to successfully trap tough critters like Rancors and Sharnaffs and Mantigrues?

For Ranger traps - Trapping level 5 (sarcasm, as there is no level 5).


Usescout traps, most of which seem to work on the creatures, cuz the Ranger traps fail most of the time. Pdarts work 60% on these creatures, and glow wire and juice work about 75%, rough numbers, best guess in taking them on. The last trap in a series tends to have no results, so if you are at one, pretend it's 0 and reload.
