I think we've bandied some names about in the dead man walking thread but I wanted to take those ideas and put them in a concise,official recommendation thread. That being said:

My official nomination for our next coorespondent is Agonthalia (Draknev).

He is as knowledgeable as anyone in our ranks

He has been a Ranger since launch.

He is positive, and does not flame or troll.

His passion for the profession is unmatched.

He has the time to dedicate to the position

Feel free to post your nominations here. Thanks for your attention to this. Bulletpoints in honor of N'Raas.

Yes we have had some great nominations but I would also like to see a list of those who want the position. They know we want them. We need to know if they will and can do it. Plus we need TH to start a thread so that we can head in the right direction.

I feel strongly for many of the nominations that have been mentioned before. Agon, Fred, Calc, and even (dare I say it lol) JB.

I guess we just need to relax and wait like we do for so many other things with this game.

I agree that we need to decide who is willing to do it. Ihereby officially state that I would like to be considered for the position. I wills ave the campaigning for some other time. I urge anyone else who is interested to post here so we can get a list together to aid TH's future post.

I was only going to do it if someone of "lesser calibur" tried to take it but I see now that it will probably be in good hands regardeless so I'm ok with someone like JB, Calc orAgon taking it. Woa, big run on sentance.

I as well am planning on submitting my application to follow (never replace) our former leezard king.

The way that I see it, whoever gets it, with the support of the ranger community we all win.

I've been thinking of throwing my hat into the ring as well, and I also think Agonthalia would be a great choice. No matter who gets it, it will be hard to live up to N'Raas's dedication!

Might I recommend that those who want to run send a PM to Thunderheart to let him know? At the very least, it should inform him that the Ranger community wants it to be handled quickly and smoothly. If we are quick about it, there might not even be a need to post a thread and wait for a few days. Those that want the post will almost certainly be reading this board enough to notice. Also, a warning to those who run--NRaas spent a ton of time working on this post. If you plan to try and match his standard then you will need to spend a significant amount of time reading this board. If you are not sure that you will have this time then I recommend you wait for the next time correspondents change. Heck has no fury like a Ranger annoyed.

I am sure whoever gets the position will do their best. I hope we can all remember that NRaas was an exceptional correspondent and that, honestly, none of us will be able to match his standard.
