I just got frontiering III and was very happy, for about a minute ,before it sank in that fortiering IV was 60k of additional camping.The only saving grace is that it will only take a few hours to get trapping III and IV and I will be a master ranger after the last camp is disbanded.I refuse to grind through this too.I want to have earned that mastertitle.It has been the most fun and most profitable 
of any professionI have tried ,and I have tried many. So it looks like 30 or so hours of camping and then you will see another master ranger victory dance.Except you wont see me becauseI will be wearing my forum camo that never breaks muahaha.

Yanno, crafting in camps is not grinding per se. Macro crapping is grinding.
Get thee to Dath, take parties out and camp yer lil buttocks off. It's fun, you harvest and trap and shoot, and then camp.
Good luck - always good to see someone who hates macros
