Woot! Congrats!
As for viable in PvP well... there is a party going on somewhere in a thread above us - why don't you head over there, have a few drinks, drink some more... maybe have one or two more... and another... and then we can talk about it.
In all seriousmess, cngrats on making master - its a giddy moment isnt it? That first HTFB and thinking... this is MINE! Cool! Everytime I read a "I made Master!" post I get psyched about remastering. I can't wait to rejoin the ranks!

posts like this, and the community in general, are what's making me want to master SO badly now. I'm getting there, but it'll be a while yet. No real rush, just can't wait to be part of the ELITE elite.
And you don't even have to wait for the HTFB. I popped a regular field base on Tat the other day near the squill cave (on Ahazi) and within 5 min probably had 20 or 30 newbies swarming around the camp, sending /tells like crazy, letting me know how "ub3r" I was for having such a "k00l k4mp d00dz!" and all. I was laughing my butt off over that. They were just honestly in awe over it, and dubbed ME, a novice ranger, "ub3r". If they only knew the irony of that...

Congrats. I mastered Ranger long ago and dropped most of it since for dabbling purposes. I still have the tracking line and once they revamp Ranger I am gonna absolutely love grinding back up each line like it was the first time again.
I seen the guy who trained me to Master Ranger the other day. He was still a Ranger. Pookerbacca! I /salute you.

with chocolate leezard for afters.
Congratulations!!
(Am with Pakz on this one (surprise surprise) but posts like this fairly cheer me up when am stuck in some boondock thinking 'soddit, am going to drop Master and go do BH. Least that way I get paid for grinding rifles and am not stuck dealing with Doogie Hawsers all flippin' night' )
Am off to stick up an HTFB somplace and throw camo at passers by. Well, it's that or make like the monkies...

That's right, I finally mastered ranger. It was a long, hard grind, but... wait, what am I smoking? With the possible exception of the last half of the frontiering 4, it was a blast. So, fellow masters, when are we gonna be viable for PvP? I'm talking radar camo, traps that affect players, that sort of thing. Uh, guys?
Anybody?
Strange. Just me and the crickets. Wait, here comes somebody. No, that's just a tumbling tumbleweed. Doh.

Thank you, one and all. There really is no better community on the forums (or in-game) than this one, and I'm happy to be part of it.
What made last night extra special was that I was helpingmy business partnerget rifle xp (he's on his way to BH). Being a TKM, I tanked for him against various low-level tat beasties, mostly cannibal dewbacks and desert razorbacks. Occasionally one would attack my partner, who was unarmored and lying prone, so I got to use /rescue quite a bit. Just a little touch that made the night even more rangery. And of course plenty of traps were lobbed, too. Good times.
