Anyone else get something like this happen?
While on Dathomir I picked up on a named NPC 250m SE. I headed that direction. Really only wanted to see the NPC. After a few minutes walking I hit the track again and saw he was behind me 120m. So I turned around and headed back. Still nothing. I finally tracked him to exactly 30m from my position and he wasnt there. Nothing and no one.
Ever had this happen?

Probably underground. I sometimes use my tents to bury my friends like that

He didn't load up in your computer... I've had it happen a time or two, especially when I need training and can't find a PC and have to go to an NPC trainer. Few times with ticket collectors too.
With static NPCs (trainers, vendors, ticket collectors, etc) you just need to walk 500 meters or so away and then walk back. At around 500 meters everything disappears from memory. When you walk back, he gets reloaded... hopefully this time.
With nonstatic NPCs... well, you run the gamble they won't be there when you walk back... but then again, they aren't there now so you have nothing to lose.

Another thing that works occasionally is to type the targets name. Type /target shmuck and you'll be able to converse with him ... not neccesarily fight. This works more with 'connable' npcs that you can attack. With white named npcs like the ticket collectors or trash dealers its not always the case.
The other day Mos Espa starport didn't spawn for me. It was very odd to find an entire flat area with a ticket collector standing in the middle where there was supposed to be a Star Port.

Have had Mos Espa starport 'missing', best was arriving off the shuttle in Anchorhead and being on a windswept hill... no town... /ar showed up the usual mess of NPC's tho.
