Thread: Possible Ninja Nerf?

So I was out harvesting this weekend and noticed what I can only term as a Ninja nerf to the con system in SWG. Enraged Rancors were conning light blue to me, all Rancors used to con Red to me. I also noticed this when harvesting some Sharnaff hides. Nothing seemed to con Red anymore, save for the Giant Canyon Krayt that I played tag with for thirty minutes, but he was level 300.
Is this just me?
I saw no mention of this in patch notes?
Did they in fact nerf the system?
Possibly in anticipation of the CU?

Yes...
That brings up another interesting thing, which is that I could not double click on the bodies to loot them. I had to use the radial menu and select "loot" to loot them. The "loot all" option didn't work either.

AFAIK con relates to your group level, so if you were in a group with a lot of master combat profs you would experience what you did. I know when I was at the Village last phase, Sith Thugs (red con to me normally) were only blue as I was in a 20 strong group.
Loot rights can be set my the group leader now too I believe, so maybe that's why you had problems looting?

That explains it then. However, on that note they did seems "easier". Their disease was worse than I remember, but they were pretty easy to drop.
Maybe the loot rights were set that way, it was just wierd.

yep. If you're not able to loot, ask your group leader to use /grouploot to change the system. DON'T pick lottery. We lost 11 Gorax Bone shards the other day on Wanderhome to the lottery.
also, the con level is conning to your GROUP.

As a side note, we need more Ninja nerfs, pesky Ninja showing up out of the blue...

Not necessarily. While ungrouped, I was unable to loot bodies last night. It had also happened earlier in the day. My guess is that the new patch has some kinks to work out.

Grouped with a pet maybe?
Just to give it a try if it happens again i'd use the /grouploot command to see if it fixes it, maybe even group with a pet do the grouploot thing and then disband. Chances are you're right its a bug thta's just carrying over when you're not grouped
I haven't had much trouble looting but with the exception of the GRM I hadn't been grouped in close to4 months so I think i was probably still defaulted to whatever the old treatment ws.

How did you lose the gorax shard? Btw? anyone want the one I looted? I got no use for it but selling it.
