Thread: Another Unbuffed, Unarmored story...

So I was tooling around Rori trying to get some data on traps. As I was returning to the Rebel Outpost I found myself quickly dismounted and incapacitated by an Elite Nova Trooper that spotted me driving around.
Angry, but extremely outmatched I opted to return some other day and take out the cursed 100k Nova trooper.
About 400m later I found 3 Rebel bases right on top of each other...
Some creative bleed shots, dragging the trooper south and boom. I managed to drop a novatrooper with the help of some helpful NPCs and turrets. In the process I found another Novatrooper and a Dark Trooper. All quickly taken out thanks to quick ranger thinking.

I've been rebel, now I'm imp.
But no matter what you are it's always fun kiting the opposing faction to an NPC base and having the help of your NPC comrades to take something down.

Nice stuff bill.
I went to Yavin today with no armour, no buffs, crappy weapons and was hunting kliknik queens for hide. The spawn system was going haywire with solid spawns everywhere and scout xp rolling in off mask. It terrified the crap out of me and put a massive edge on combat, was the best experience in swg ive had in months.

Must be the day for odd stuff.
Unbuffed and unarmored on Dath -
2 enraged rancors, a herd of spider hunters, a NS Initiate and me.
Popped both rancors, ran by NS. She started in on one rancor. Spiders start on the second. I pop a few bleeds into them all. Rancor 1 down, NS down, spiders X4 down, rancor 2 down. One ranger laffing his butt off.
Good XP.
Of course, I then walked into two NS stalkers and had my butt handed to me, in various bite sized nuggets.

I was on Yavin unbuffed myself and your right about the spawns. Not only were there spawns everywhere but there was also every creature fighting with every other creature. As a TK i'd just get in the middle and go into spin kick mode to get my piece of all of it.
I was incapped a bunch tonight but never killed and never hit the 3rd and your out incap. I got 14k of yavin animal bone in less then 4 missions just walking around and had a lot of fun.

I just assumed that the large amount of spawns on Rori was due to the recent "upgrade" to the spawning system. Sounds like it was just a bug?
I dunno, I'm really enjoying all the critters out there. It's been incredibly fun!
On the buffed front... I have been back to playing 2-3 nights a week minumum and I've not buffed once in 2 weeks. The game is so much more fun and exciting when you're just watching your food buffs and spicing in an emergency.
Though I'd love to throw on a set of Ubese ('cause I love the look) I'm happy enough goin out in my cammo'd all streetwear.
I dunno, I'm really enjoying all the critters out there. It's been incredibly fun!

Weird, I was on wanderhome on rori just outside the Rebel Outpost. Ravenous Tourtons EVERYHWERE. There were also plenty of mites, squalls, and others.

took some friends out on a peko peko albatross hunt.
there were five of us...a pistoleer/CH, a CM, a doctor, a kimo named Bam Bam, and me.
The albatrosses spawned 5 times in the same spot, the first bird had 75k HAM, and the birds kept gettimg more and more HAM as they spawned, the fifth had 170k HAM. in total we looted 23 feathers!!!

Yavin on Shadowfire has been spawning like crazy lately. Also, a lot of the resources there have been very good. It has been a great run for us Ranger harvestors.

Owen and I were both unbuffed when we threaded the Maw. his HTFB seemed for a while more secure than my lowly scout camp to the south, as a pair of krayts spawned and wandered in to see what I tasted like.
through a diligent use of timestamps and fleeing, I was able to avoid death-by-the-rule-of-three, maintain my position, and snap the shot where I'm waving to his camp.
it was a HOT day on tatooine, and I don't mean the weather. I saw eleventeen ancient krayts on the way to the POI, and plenty more of the 'little' versions of the dragons. our group chats were filled with exchanges of
safe.
NO! LATE SPAWN! fleeing!
failing to flee!
and the like. owen and I managed to escape with our lives, and possibly our dignity. unfortunately, ken wasn't so lucky on his approach to Owen's camp. a true ranger, he chose death over mob-training nasties into Owen's position.
the rest of my photo-safari was similarly unbuffed and unarmored... and with no combat skills it was constantly entertaining.
btw... new 'automated Live event' in testing on TC: Ewok Invasion.
Ewoks enter theed cantina (panshees). they accost an NPC there, steal his datapad, and get bite-y. one becomes attackable. not one to let a panshee run amok in civilization (on endor, I treat them nicely), I waited for my opportunity... stormtroopers entered the cantina in search of rebels as I ran outside to call a rancor. my plan: drag the panshee outside where my 'rancor-trap' would catch him. I throw a few poorly-aimed punches to enter combat, then turn to run. before my rancor has a chance to try 'the other red meat', the stormtroopers open fire, slaughtering the offending panshee. with my newly-gained loot rights to the corpse, I steal a 'bantha doll' from the smoking pile of fur.
my rancor missed a meal, but the remaining ewoks cleared out fast... until the event reset.
