Thread: Greater Gulginaws, LD, and You

Things seem to actually be spawning again, but you might want to prepare yourself so that you don't lose your composure in front of your fellow rangers (esp. those who are likely to post screenshots on the forums).
For example, I told Canon about a spawn of greater gulginaws I stumbled across, and he got so excited that he went LD. I managed to contain my excitement long enough to take a screenshot though!

Seriously, though, it looks like the spawns are indeed back - Canon and I found at least 5 more greater gulginaw lairs in the same area, and we each ended up harvesting about 24k of Corellian avian meat in about three hours. Yes, I know that 24k isn't much for an adventure planet, but it's still pretty impressive for Corellia!
/cheer for the spawns being back!

It also proved how nice having two master rangers getting 40% bonuses was. When i was more then 64m from him i got 82 from the Gulginaws but within 64 it jumped to 122. Now like he said 24k (thats each not together) of any meat in 3 hours doesnt sound that special. But this is Corellian Avian meat and thats not easy to get in bulk.
Every time we turned around we were looking at spats, giant spats, and greater gulginaws. After three hours we both agreed that we were seeing double and gave up.
Its great to see an encouragement to grouping again. If that bonus wasnt there we would have stayed solo on Corelia. But because of it we worked together. And since we were seeing 6-8 greaters per lair at one time unbuffed it became a challange when they swarmed.
Iseult was looking at the holy grail of Corelian Avian with the greater gulginaw lair but decided to wait until i went the 10k to get to him. I get all the way there and my DSL died while i was standing next to him. I just stared at my screen until i realized what had happened.
