Today I regained my title of Frontiersman. I chose the quick and easy path of four crafting machines. I accomplished this with 100k of hide, 50k bones and 50k metal with plenty of each left over. Had very few visitors and no wounds to heal. Took about eight hours total.
Not really proud of it. Was much more fun doing it the first time I made Ranger. I never made a camp in practice mode... I cant recall if there was practice mode back then.. Anyway, I used all my camps and earned it with my guild having meetings and what not while I got xp.
Just a small bit of info for the grinders crying that frontiersman xp takes too long. This is pretty quick and cheap resources wise. I did this line first since I knew if I didnt I would prolly never do it again. lol

The sad thing is... I'm almost done with Ranger on my second pass... only thing holding me back is camping.
I'm not far away from doin the same thing.
I love rangering ... I love camping when it's not involving grinding xp.
Oh well...

I do feel dirty... esp when I ran out of hides and had to ask my brother for some I gave him awhile back instead of stopping to get my own. Since I am also back to novice rifleman I am as weak as a pup and that takes a while to harvest.
Should I also feel bad for saying I set up a factory to make me some traps? lol

You know actually the xp you get from the FieldBase in practice crafting makes a big jump once you get to crafting those. I coasted through the 3rd box quick. Its not as bad as other things I have helped my fiancee grind through. Such as Tailor.. sucky profession to grind but a fun profession to play. I made tons of cash crafting with her character.

Yeah. The first time I mastered, I had my camps deployed in the middle of a base cluster and people could pull out their speeders. I hired newbs to run in and out of my camps so I could cap the xp quicker. I dropped it for holos. After I did the holo till silent thing, I revisited ranger again. Once I got novice, I gathered the hide and bone I had collected knowing I'd do it again and completed the entire frontiersman tree in my guildhall. It took about 4-5 hours total. Once done, I ran to dath withi a master ranger friend and was master in about 3 hours. Not like I didn't enjoy levelling, it's just that I really wanted my title back.

Don't feel bad about that bro. I have crates of traps, camo kits, camps (HTFB and the novice camp), and speeders (nightsisters). I'd rather have a load of traps at the ready over having to stop combat, run away, craft traps, and come back.

Hey theres nothing wrong with that method. When i did it the last time, I set up next to the Mos Eisley sand crawler (u can actually get the tent canopy to nudge up to the hulk) and sat crafting X4. After about an hour I started getting stir crazy, so i did combo area tracks and /who searchs, sent out a zillion (actually about 3 doz) emails to everyone in mos eisley area, inviting them to a lotto party. hada ton of ppl show up, like at least 2 doz at one time, and then started getting ppl into playing these ridiculous lotto game, rolling dice, and for prizes I had a pack full of mainly trinkets and stuff new players would want, looted weapons, clothes etc. Spent one of the best 8 hours of game time since launch doing that. Who says you cant make your own fun?
