Thread: Cloaking a HTFB

Here's an idea for making Camps useful...and for using Banked Scout XP...in a PvP setting.

Currently, I haven't found a use for banked scout XP (since I don't have any intention on being a jedi now), this would also provide a use for this banked scout XP.

Why not make HTFB's "cloakable" and everything in them "invisible" when cloaked, or at least taken off the radar. I use the word "cloak" loosely. I really mean camoflaged.

The price could be banked scout XP, say 50k or 100k per "cloaking". This would be essentially like throwing a really big Camo Net over the HTFB.

Any thoughts.

I think it sounds intriguing but I doubt this will ever happen.

It'd be cool, but apparently the devs don't see a need for a ranger to ever be invisible.....

QFE

REAL cloaking abilities were given to Jedi and Rifleman... NOT to Rangers who have a full tree DEDICATED to camouflage and stuff...

So what makes you think our HTBFS could become invisible?

Ow wait... maybe it might be because they're almost useless and mainly used as eyecandy to lure new Rangers in?

Even in thelatter case, you don't want an invisible camp

Call it a Camoflaged LP/OP that only pops when an opposing faction member gets within 30 meters or something.

You could seriously ambush PvP...or put it up on a main approach path to a jedi's house...man it with 3 or 4 MBH all with the same mission. The options are limitless.

Why stop there? If I can make 2 crafting stations, some bunkers, and a big pavillionwith a little bone, hide, and metal... why not a turret? Not a one-shot kill base turret or anything, but something to make the HTFB a viable rallying point. And don't give me that 'it'll step on SL's or some other profs toes' argument, either. It's about time we did the toe stepping for once.

Or instead of an offensive turret why not one that roots the target for a brief amount of time, and warns all inhabitants of the camp that an agressor is attacking. This would come in very handy, say if you had a camp popped near the Krayt Graveyard healing up with your group, when an Ancient decides to join the fun(not speaking from past expieriences*honest*:smileytongue

I like the warning idea, perhaps it could have a fairly large radius at HTFB.
