Thread: How does one price these resources?

Hello all,
I've been wandering about, using my limited Ranger abilities (0040 Ranger) to help my guild hunting, and have not been paying much attention as I harvest creatures pretty much out of reflex.
I have found in my backpack:
100k Leathery Hide (Dant "Eufowo") - DR 615 OQ 876 UT 307 Mall 195 SR 371
15k Scaley Hide (Dant "Itega") - DR 807 OQ 998 UT 933 Mall 179 SR 318
5k Wooley Hide (Dant "Pavow") - DR 845 OQ - 930 UT 989 Mall 795 SR 80
Any ideas what these might be worth on sale? Or what these are used for, so I know to offer them to?

Well in all honesty your server trade forum would be the best place toask for a price check on those as then you'll actually get more people from your server which'll give you a better chance of actually finding out their value. Now as far as who uses them I know Armorsmiths and Architects use them, there might be others who use them but can't think of who off the top of my head right now.

When i don't have a specific contract to gather resources, and i have a stack of good stuff, i'll generally post it in my server's trade forum, and have crafters bid on what cpu (credits per unit) they'll pay for it, and sell it to the highest bidder. if you're unfamiliar with the CPU system, basically if you have a 10k stack of hide, and someone offers you 10cpu for it, then they'll pay 100,000 credits for the 10k stack. and if you are familiar with the cpu system, just don't read that last sentence (although if you're reading this sentence you've most likely already read that previous sentence, thus making this sentence completely useless).

The actual price will depend on your server's economy, however, I can tell you that as an Armorsmith, the scaley and wooley would be desireable. The SR is low, especially on the wooly, but for final combines, DR, OQ and SR each matter for 1/3. Meaning that it's rare to get all three stats over 850, but if you can get at least two of them high, you're hedging your bets well.
(At first I read the UT as the SR, and I was about to wet myself with envy.

)The leathery is passable, but not fantastic. Still, there's bound to be a budget AS who could use it. If nothing else, architects and tailors both need hide and quality doesn't matter to them.

BE's can make use of any hide, as long as the OQ is high enough. If this was my server, I'd buy the 900+ OQ hides, but not the 800+ one.
