With the influx of some new players to the game, it is time that Rangers prepare to amaze the younglings. Here are some of the things I love to do to get some ohhhhs and ahhhhhs.

Throw a sonic trap. Love that noise.

Throw a flash bomb. Love that flash.

Walk through a whole mob of creatures and when they try to follow they get jumped. Then you get the message "How can you do that without those things attacking you?"

Pop a HTFB. Nothing is as impressive as popping one of these babies.

Fish. When a youngling does not believe what you are doing, give them a fish for their pack.

Help turn an unorganized mob of players into a cohesive unit. Just watch some new players group up and start going crazy. When all of them are on their backs incapped, I just walk over and kill whatever they were fighting. Then I offer some pointers.

Our Ranger skills can offer us a bunch of fun. For the olde veteran players, go out and amaze!!! It will make you feel young again.

Great post.

It's nice to see alot of new players around. Hopefully it'll help breathe some life into the game.

I've had numerous newbies stop me, and ask where i got my stylin' armor at. I hate to break the bad news to them, but they need to save up for a long time to get a full suit of Imperial Scout Trooper armor.

I have been meeting alot of the new players though, because i've been doing some of those new starter quests they just made.

Absolutely great post.

Done similar myself.

And yes, it is fun to watch the carnage when noobs get jumped. I saw a convoy of them that had gone imperial and were unguilded. They may have been on their way to the Ryatt trails or just wonderingbut were never toarrive attheir destination.

They were slaughtered wholesale by the wookies along the river. It was a tangled mess of noob corpses and exploding bikes.

I just looked on in surrealfascination thinking...better a wookie thana kreetle.

If you are near a high cliff then go prone and pretend you have mountain climing skills by actually crawling up the slope!

I actually did this a few times with my ranger and amazed a few new players and even some veterans. Not a lot of people know that terrain negotiation above 50 actuallyincreases your crawling speed.

It is good to see the abundance of new people onboard, the biggest question I have gotten is "Is it worth it to become a Ranger?" My answer "Only if your patience is like that of the Apache indians"

I like the mountain climbing idea. You can tell noobs that you can climb mountains due to your +50 mountain climbing hawt pants that you looted off a lizard.

Seeing a convoy of bikes expode is funny. I did give out some swoops to some new players. They were using their BARC speeders and I warned them about getting them disabled. I'm sure some listened and then again I am sure there are some BARC's in need of repair.

Yeah, the HTFB is always impressive. I've even amazed some of my guildmates who've been playing for a while with one.

And yes, it is terribly fun to walk thru a group of creatures unscathed while the rest of the group gets lots of bite marks.
