A very good question. I, personally, need all the Survival/Frontiering XP that I can get.

Even if it was just 30 or 40 XP it would be extremely helpful.
But mabey they are worried we'd just be macroing camps and at the same time macroing foraging, all the while we are actually downstairs watching a baseball game, or at work, etc.
*sigh*
38 more camps 'till field base...

It's not possible to macro foraging while stationary. After approximately 5 successful attempts, the area is cleared of all forageable items.

The area regenerates foragables after a few attempts. If you macro forage all night you will forage until your bag is full, which doesn't take that long.

at the moment, foraging does not generate frontiering xp that I am aware of. It's something that we have asked about, though.

I know at Survival 3, we can forage 2 items (And often do). At one stage we get 3 (unconfirmed, but I have had at least 2 incidents where I thought I foraged 3) - my Wilderness is 2. That would take about 5 minutes of forages to fill the average ranger's pack.

Thanks for pointing that out, Zzik. I didn't realize that the area would regenerate.
