Ranger Archive

I recently made trap master but have yet to try the two ranger traps. At the moment I usually only the high level scout traps. So I'm wondering how usefull is really stun/dizzy/blind against mobs? Is it better than the glow wire trap with it's lowered attack defense?. Would like an experienced trap user to tell me when and how they should be used.

I only have the flash bomb, and I know it never works against large animals and rarely works against small ones. It is pretty to watch though. In the rare instance where it actually does work on a small animal, it winds up killing it. At least this was my experience with some gubburs when i first got the skill.

Well my very limited experience with these two traps was this , I made two of each trap and tried em out .

First , I slow bombed a big dumb elephant MOB on Lok called a Snorbal . Then I tossed one of the new bombs and nothing happened , whatsoever . No message , no effect noticeable or stated by the game , no XP .

Then , I tried one of them at melee range , and the bomb hit and went off ( ooooooh pretty lights ) and I got XP and the like , and the mob didn't seem effected in any way whatsoever . I could notice no detrimental effect to the MOB , and I felt like I would have been better off using my slap emote on it .

The other bomb was the exact same way , didn't work from range , did work from melee , didn't seem to do anything at all , when it connected which was rarely .

SOOOOO ANYHOO that was the fun I had with these extremely usefull and powerful new bombs we get as reward for ranger . Sad to say the only bomb I ever ever use is the slow bomb , which is quite good and somewhat reliable and thankfully can be thrown from range .

Hope this helps and my advice to you is Phencacine Dart . Only remotely usefull one in the whole branch .
