so far every skill I learned as a ranger can be duplicated as a skill I learned in the boy scouts.

I was an Eagle Scout as a kid and I got tosay the skill tree for ranger is not that much more than what I learned when I was a teenager in the boy scouts.

you can make a camp that repels dangerous animals, allows you to craft high-tech gizmos, and allows you to heal 2x as fast as you normaly do?

there must be one heck of a diffrence between life scout and eagle, because I can't.

ok, every camp I ever made "repeled" creatures because of the human element. I never had a wild creature come into my camp as a boyscout or after. As far as craftiing goes yes I have had camps that where made for the purpose of crafting items, and that was when I was a cub scout.

As a soldier, I can remember going into a cantina (bar) many times to heal battle fatigue from being in the "field" all day, or from doing parachute missions.....

Exactly. Once, I built a shoe rack. First, Ifound two sticks, about 1 inch in diameter and about a foot.Next, I pounded them into the ground with a rock. Lastly, I hung my shoes upside down to keep the dew from settling on the inside.

Funny, my scout camp repelled creatures (rock-pile fires... there was a plant to use to bait off misquetos... **edit**, I can't believe I forgot that LOL ). My ranger camp don't.

Ranger is not a profession. It's a lifestyle.

I wasn't a soldier,I was a sailor, but let me assure you that when our ship hit port there was all kinds of battle fatigues taken care of at all kinds of cantinas. And yes, everyone felt much better afterwards.
