Thread: Mineras Ranger skill addition/suggestion
Hey everyone,
A little idea to get us into the galactic economy beyond skinning and boning critters. It's also just fun. I have mentioned this before but we didn't have a correspondent at that time. This isn't a quick addition, I know that, but viable for a future patch. Player mounts will be implemented in the coming months (hopefuly
) and CH's have no method of showing off thier 'wares'. Many non-artisans don't have a use for all of those building lots and non-CH's might like this too.
A ranger could make an Animal Habitiat capable of storing and/or selling pets. It could be placed as a structure and be similar to a corral, getting better looking and bigger with each level of Bioscience. This habitat would allow the animal(s) to be visible in the gameworld acting as an advertisement for mounts available for sale and simpl be good eyecandy. Caps could be in place for the number of pets held in a corral, or certain pets in the 'vendor' could be selected for view, to limit the rendering of tons of critters.
Those for sale would be removed from your datapad and stored in the vendor. Those simply put on display could be visible but not callable from the datapad until picked up (this last one is purely for showing off). This would also be good for Non-CH's that buy the low level pets for fun or role playing, they could put their Gualama in a stable when they are crafting at home.
Any ideas?
Gard Keylley,
well,
considering that bio-engineers can create animals that are placable objects, and a CH could have a shop where he just places a copy of the animal he has for sale in his shop, then put the actual sale creatures on the vendor, that sort of meets the 'corral' description you gave.

altering profession dependencies, in my experience, generally flies about as well as the core of a neutron star. But duly noted anyway ![]()
