Since I only have Trapping I in Ranger I don't have any of the Ranger traps. However, my issue is with whom they can be used on. I see absolutely no logic is dissallowing traps to work on player creatures. This makes no sence and makes this entire Combat skill tree (yes trapping IS combat) useless in PvP. I do not yet know if resuce works on PC pets but I doubt it.

I realize things have to balanced in MMO's so they can't be realistic. However, there's no excuse for being illogical. For example if I'm a Master Ranger and throw a Dart at a Kimo and it slows him, then what should happen if I throw this at another player. Realistically he should die on the spot. However, to balance the game devs have excluded it entirely. There is a middle ground for trapping.

I understand when the PC is moving around and the ranger is getting shot that yes the trap should have very low to no accuracy. However, if as a Ranger I want to abuse a PC while he's just sitting in a camp why can't I hit him. It shouldn't kill him but the trap should do a fair amount of an effect to the player. Why would a bone spur hurt a Bantha and not a Rodian? What's the difference?

I think the problem is Ranger has grown out of EQ and fantisy games. This is Star Wars. The only things Rangers bring to the GCW is their Base kits. It doesn't make any sence that a Rebel Ranger would not learn how to use his trapping skills against an Imperial. Ranger is just coming from the wrong mindset. If the devs called it Hunter then yea it would make sence. I just don't see how the Base camps fit into it if Rangers exist just to hunt.

Sorry I got a little heated and off track. Basically I think a first step would be to make traps work on PC pets. To get it all right the Devs have to make a true statement as to what a Ranger is and evaluate if the skills in it belong.
