I'm getting kind of tired of seeing posts like "top ten things that are wrong with rangers" or "rangers suck 2."

I'm not a ranger yet, but I plan to be soon.Are there any rangers out there who LIKE being what they are? Please convince me that you do exist.

Look dude, the bottom line is the Ranger is unfinished. Novice Ranger is worth it, Master Ranger(as an individual skill)is worth it, and that's all. The traps line is laughable, the camping line is buggy, maskscent changes so often you can't rely on it, and it sucks right now, the harvesting bonuses & creature knowledge is not useless, but there are better ways to spend your points in almost every other elite profession.

The only reason I haven't dropped all my Ranger skills is in case they ever get around to fixing it, and because I like the character concept. I did drop my three trapping boxes.

Also fellas, if you're looking to turn off auto-afk for camping, forget it. It resets every time you log in. As does the time-out meter.

I am not happy with this profession . Unfinished is the word that best describes it .

There is NOTHING that Rangers get that Master Scouts don't already have . Except two traps that suck even when they do work , and a skill called Rescue that is the epitomy of suck .

Ooooh I forgot we get some new camps that are only slightly less sucky than a scouts camps and one has pretty lasers .

Add my vote to the no column this profession sucks and I'm sticking around to see if it gets better . In fact that's my status on the game as a whole .

On the bright side correspondent is good here and changes for the better may be in the near future . We'll see . Not even sure if I'll still be into this game by then , tho .

I surrenderred WayFarer 3,Field Bio 3,Trap 4. The only boxes I kept was Frontier and that's just to get a cool looking Field Base even though it doesn't repeal anything. It's just to look cool.

Ranger is a broken profession as most elite professions are and I will become a Ranger again when they fix it

Im currently at field bio 3 trap 3 and survival 3 and to tell you the thruth, it is useless. I do have high hopes for it. I believe we are going to become a very powerful support class in in both PvP and PvE, so I will keep it with those hopes. As someone said before me, I think the same of the whole game, mediocre right now but with huge,and I mean Uber huge, potential. I just want to be there when it happens.

Yeah its broke.... but it wont always be, and im not worried about being uber or anything so im enjoying just being a ranger. there arent that many of us. and I like that.(maybe beacause its broke there arent many of us, but hell, that fine by me)

whats broke isnt really MISSION critical. I can hunt and trap etc as well as I could as a scout...adn camo and terrain neg. is better. I like that I can hoof up a hill faster than anyone.

bottom line is...if you like scout (I do) this is at the moment a continuation of scout. Im cool with that. cant wait for the changes and fixes, but then again... yes I can.

I like being a Ranger. Having a +90 Camoflauge rating really helps when negotiating advanced planets.

No reason they shouldn't allow our traps to work on everything.
