I was wondering how many Rangers hunt with pets. I am not CH and would like to know if having a pet to group to get higher missions or to help tank during high level solos would help. If it is recommmended to get a pet, how do you get one and what is best to get. thanks.

I have a BE Gurrcat, I'm not a CH so it's a low level pet.

I dont use it much really, more a bit of company than anything else...! Although I have called him into action when things have got out of hand.

Some creatures tend to agro him when I am masked so there are pro's and Con's to be honest.

Oh, and dont group with him, he robs you of 40% of your harvest, the tike...!

I am a Ranger and a CH and I have a variety of pets. I think it's a great combo but the last patch really hurt all CH's so I'm not as happy about it now but it's still fun. You have to train as a novice CH if you want a pet higher than CL 10. Anyone can have a pet CL 10 or lower. For that just ask a BE for one. If you go CH there are a lot of choices then.
