From a thread in the Creature Handler forum:

Yes, camps will be still useful and we're going to the Ranger and Scouts to add some items for their "camp improvements" proposal. They were vigilant and fast acting and I was able to get their ideas into the pipeline in a timely basis.

So most players have no more pain with need camps to call stuff and Scouts and Rangers get better camps so we want to visit them

Looks like the modular camps proposal is in the works! Great job N'raas! Kudos to you and the community for working together top get this in front of them in time.

So close...but yet sooo far.

Its the thought that counts

Oh, and NRaas, evolutionarily speaking, Mon Cal evolved from the phylum "Molluska" so, my good friend Oppma has more in relation to a squid or an octopus than a fish.

I say we stop the fish jokes and focus on a more Invertebrate line of insults for Oppma.

(much love Oppma)

"evolutionarily speaking"

Yeah yeah... Mon Calamari, like the oriental seafood platter.

"Mmm... I'll have a side order of Rancorrider4 if you don't mind."

I'll try not to flounder in my next jab.

I'm not biting. This is just a red herring to tide us over.

(Nah, I'm just trolling and hoping someone would take the bait...)

Okay, so it is good news. I hoped that they would take the opportunity to revisit the camps and it looks like they have. And N'Raas started it.

Mmmmm. Sushi.

Uhhh... I really hope that "modular camp" idea is not the one thing they chose from that Outdoorsman proposal to focus their attention on.

Quite frankly, while it would be wonderful addition to the Ranger profession, it was at the BOTTOM of my list of everything in that document.
