I know its been stated, but I think it needs to be brought up again. Rangers should be able to choose creatures to "study" and know well.Let me explain my idea...
As a Novice Ranger, you should be able to choose a creature to study. You would need to kill 50-100 of them to get to know the creature, and then you would get a damage and accuracy modifier whenever you attack that creature since you have studied it and know its weak spots. At tracking 3, you get an additional creature, and at Master Ranger, you could ahve up to 3 creatures be your studied creatures. You get modifiers whenever you attack that creature. You could choose to "unstudy" a creature and study something else. Every time you study the creature, you would need to kill 50-100, like a destroy mission.

Thats a great idea, sort of like a specialisation.

Me like. It's extremely in-line with the Ranger profession, and allows us to be specialists.\
"Hunting on Endor, huh? You'd do best to get Daracca to show you around. Now, if you were headed to Dantooine, I'd be your man.. But for Endor? Definitely Daracca."

Sounds like a good idea..though I would prefer a creature dmg bonus in general though. Perhaps the number of kills could be adjusted higher but would be permanent?

The only rpoblem with it being permanment is that you would have to hope the developers don't nerf a creature. Plus it defeats the flexibitly of the skillpoint system. So far the only thing you can't change from creationis Race and Gender, you can be a totlally new profession, bases stats, as well as body features from when you first start out.
I wouldn't want to have to lose a master title(costing me AP points not just plain xp) plus a possible line in Ranger which I would have to make up just so I can change my creatures.
How about Rangers just get a better creature damage bonus overall nothing too overwhelming, but for the chosen creatures they get special attacks that can apply to the next attack(like how aim acts) that would do more damage(would also cost some small amounts of HAM. Call it Creature Critical 1 the have a better version at higher skill level and it would work for both Ranged AND Melee attacks. Maybe also have a creature knockdown, something like Creature Impair 1 which has a chance to knockdown a single critter and then have Creature Impair 2 which has a AoE affect version. However the Creature KD would be a special attack by iteself(Both for Range and Melee) that would do the weapons base damage, possibly some extra damage modifer. These specials could only be used against your chosen creatures as you have studied where to hit them for maximum damage as well as how to hit weak spots to bring them to the ground.
Also if you choose a creature would you get to choose a line or just one type? Like if I choose a Jungle Fynock or would I choose the whole fynock line(which makes more sense to me).
