Maskscent or camo... hit them with a bleed shot like actionshot1, declare peace, back up to 80m and wait. He will bleed and then charge you.. dart him and kill him.

The bleed, peace, move, wait method works about 90% of the time. Backing off is crucial, stay too close and the crowd comes. Do not go too far off, the critter may not aggro on you, but on someone or something else (like your speeder).

The distance is also good because you get in at least one shot, then you trap. Way I figure it, I get two shots, wait, the critter bleeds twice, I shoot again, then pdart... already the critter is down at least 750 pts in health, and he is slow.... ain't nothing I can't beat this way.

Another option (and I suppose this is not technically not solo'ing) is to buy yourself a few probots - they don't do much damage, butthe best ones droid engineersmake have really good armor, which means that bolles (and other semi-big mobs) will have to chew onyour probotfor quite some time before they can get around to chewing on you.

I myself am a master pistoleer / master ranger, and I've used probots to tank bolles, faambas, sharnaffs, grondas, swamp humbabas, greater gulginaws, tortons, crystal snakes, klikniks (sp?), swirl prongs, voritors, hurtons, mamiens, gurks, etc... - you get my point - semi-big things. Generally my tactic is to send the probot in, let the things latch on to it, and stand back and fan-shot the group.

Another benefit of the lowly probot is that you can have up to 5 in your datapad, so when one dies (or is about to die), you can store it, pop a camp, and call the next one. I have four in my datapad, and by the time I get around to the first one again it is usually fully healed.

Avoid grouping with your probot, as you'll incur a harvesting reduction. Also, check its ham between attacks - if your current probot is really low on ham, store it and call another one. If the bolles (or whatever) do manage to chew through your probot, they will come after you next, so don't send an almostexhausted probot against a fresh pack of bolles. You can't store a probot in mid-combat, of course, so you will want to make sure that the probot that you send in can last the round.

Of course, when your probot does get eaten, it will explode and end up in lots of pieces on the ground - this is really funny to watch, even if you do have to hit burst run to escape the six bolles that are now intent on having you for lunch. Don't worry though, you can store your probot and it will be ready to fight again in about 20-30 minutes (thisi s why it's good to have more than one probot).

go melee, stand in the middle of them and spin away. If you dont like that idea the bleed method works too.

when I hunt Bollie's I will usally find some "reds" around, such as tusk cats, shauq.., spiders, etc. I use a cameo, stand in the middle ( if its close enough, or hit the bollies and run to the "reds") of the "reds" and fire on them. Usally the "reds" will attack the bollies and you can fire away on the bollies. When I was going up the rifle tree, I could easly make several thousand points within a very short time using this meathod.
Use a cameo, mask I find breaks at the worst time and you have both the "reds" and the bollies after you..
