Hello all - I've noticed that Lok is feeling a little barren these days. I spent a good hour and a half there last night walking around the starport looking for critters, and all I could find were mission lairs (and the occaisional sulfer mynok left over from a mission lair). I even headed out into the wild and I hiked a good five kilometers and I didn't encounter a single creature. Yes - I was walking, not riding, and I was using areatrack - nothing...
So, my question is - is this just my server (Bloodfin), or have others noticed this as well? I don't think that this is by design - I remember when I did the act ii missions on Lok I had to try really hard to make it to the waypoint without getting jumped. Now I go out looking for trouble, and there's none to be had....

This is a problem caused in the recent publish. Apparently a fix is being tested on Test Center right now. ![]()

What exactly is the problem, NRaas? Is it just a problem with Lok?

It's the same on starsider, but I just got to my PC on lok and get perlek or gurk missions (depending on what I'm harvesting) and they're usually right on the edge of the city lol.

"What exactly is the problem"
From what I hear, several planets reacted negatively to the Crackdown and decided to go on strike.
No spawns until their demands are met. The developers are in top level negotiations with representatives in an attempt to end the stalemate.
Seriously... No, they didn't give specifics on why its borked. The Test Center hotfix notes simply state:
"- Fixed a problem that caused spawning to stop on some planets"

That might account for my horrible hunting for wooly hide on talus on the day of the patch...

Man....and I thought I was just having REALLY bad luck when I couldn't find anything. Maybe the creatures are afraid that they'll show up as sliced?

I noticed it and was actually enjoying it while I could. Running missions on Lok is alot easier when nothing is spawning aside from the mission lairs. ![]()

I thought it had something to do with the imps. I live on Corellia (Starsider) close to a river. There are ALWAYS critters of all kinds on the river. Last night I took a new Clan member hunting and did not find crap. Eventually, we found a talbot mound (non-mission) and killed them. I had not been home in while and it was very odd for this area to be without life. I did see a few more imps though, and they did look like mission spawns.
Whats worse is he was asking me Ranger questions and then I could not find any animals. It was a slight blow to my self esteem...ok, I'm over it. It was frustrating though. I'm glad this is not just on our server/planet. Hope it is fixed quick.
