Thread: Ideas to generate more allure to camping
Nice idea. It would make the Rangers a much bigger asset to have in a group and it would also make that class stand out much more than I think it already is. From what I've seen though in other RPG's, it's kind of hard to keep a "Ranger" type class well balanced probably due to the fact that the definition of a Ranger can sometimes seem almost as good as a superhero. However, I don't think that this will effect the Ranger class very negatively if at all. Good thinking. ![]()
I personally agree totally, and if I understood properly about the tower thing I would like to see that to.
Having a large tower to have a grand view over the outdoors would really make my day, the Ranger should not only be a great asset in the wilderness, but also be able to relax.
The Devs most likely have many other things on their hands, so you can get comfy before they respond lol ![]()
Mission Terminals. Put in the game for newbie characters. By time you reach Master Scout you should be past the Terminals. Plus, to me a camp should be traditional. If we start packing mini-cities into acamp, that gets ridiculous.
Banks. No one really uses them anyway. Why would one need to deposit his credits in the wild?
you got a point there, but I think what the other rangers are trying to get at is that camps should have a more practical use that would make them more favourable in groups rather thana neat bonus. i do also think that banks was stretching it a little and mission terminals struck me as a little odd (not everyone can just generate one of those lol) but I REALLY like that tower thing. Nothing would be more kick ass than to be able to go up to the top of your tower and just relax up there and look up at the sky ![]()
We Rangers never were a huge benefit to groups as we are ment to be survivalists, and survivalists tend to shine when they do just that but because of game mechanics (such as not starving) doesnt have a call for survival tactics. If food deprivation caused stat decreases (temporary of course) then we would be in more business with our foraging, and so would Chefs.
But as the highlight of the topic being camps, I totally agree that camps need a bit of a touch up as they are losing their purpose.
