Nice idea. It would make the Rangers a much bigger asset to have in a group and it would also make that class stand out much more than I think it already is. From what I've seen though in other RPG's, it's kind of hard to keep a "Ranger" type class well balanced probably due to the fact that the definition of a Ranger can sometimes seem almost as good as a superhero. However, I don't think that this will effect the Ranger class very negatively if at all. Good thinking.

I'd love to see this change myself.

I personally agree totally, and if I understood properly about the tower thing I would like to see that to.

Having a large tower to have a grand view over the outdoors would really make my day, the Ranger should not only be a great asset in the wilderness, but also be able to relax.

The Devs most likely have many other things on their hands, so you can get comfy before they respond lol

Mission Terminals. Put in the game for newbie characters. By time you reach Master Scout you should be past the Terminals. Plus, to me a camp should be traditional. If we start packing mini-cities into acamp, that gets ridiculous.

Banks. No one really uses them anyway. Why would one need to deposit his credits in the wild?

The healing ideas are there but could be improved. Really, I see camps as nothing more right now than a spot to sit down and rest(heal) after a long day in the wild. Basically, what they are in real life. A sanctuary at the end of the day.

you got a point there, but I think what the other rangers are trying to get at is that camps should have a more practical use that would make them more favourable in groups rather thana neat bonus. i do also think that banks was stretching it a little and mission terminals struck me as a little odd (not everyone can just generate one of those lol) but I REALLY like that tower thing. Nothing would be more kick ass than to be able to go up to the top of your tower and just relax up there and look up at the sky

We Rangers never were a huge benefit to groups as we are ment to be survivalists, and survivalists tend to shine when they do just that but because of game mechanics (such as not starving) doesnt have a call for survival tactics. If food deprivation caused stat decreases (temporary of course) then we would be in more business with our foraging, and so would Chefs.

But as the highlight of the topic being camps, I totally agree that camps need a bit of a touch up as they are losing their purpose.

Greetings my fellow rangers. I have a few suggestions involving camps that I would like some feedback on. The reason I'm making this post is to create more allure for camps, and ultimately, for being a master ranger. I think that what camps can do right nowin no wayjustifies the skill points/xp gaining time-consumption, so I suggest the following additions to the existing camps:

1. High Quality Camp Kits to allow the healing of battle fatuige when an entertainer is dancing/playing music within the camp

2. Field Base Camp Kits to allow the healing of battle fatuige when an entertainer is dancing/playing music as well as providing a mission terminal.

3. High Tech Field Base Camp Kits to include healing battle fatuige (with entertainer), provide a mission terminal, and provide a bank.

The reason for suggesting such improvements to camps is in light of the idea that a ranger should only have to go to civilization (cities, residences, etc.), if he/sheWANTS to, not because of neccessity. The ability to be more self sufficient on the range would, in my opinion, make the ranger proffession worth the skill points it occupies, and serve to add more allure to the proffession.

With the addition of a mission terminal, master rangers would be more value to a hunting party than just a tracker. The idea of having a banking terminal installed for the highest level camp is actually just an idea for having a lockbox to store items in, so the the ranger could store his/her harvested resources and personal possesions.

Lastly (mostlyfor aesthetics), I suggest having a tower-like structure akin to the random Colonel Veers Imp camp spawn on Dantooinein the High Tech Field Base (or maybe a new master level)camp, so as to give rangers something to enter in their camp. Also, it provides a vantage point of the terrian that outdoorsman love, as well as adding to the role paying experience of having a guard outside the structure to stand watch.

As I stated in my opening, I would like some feedback... from the players, for our correspondant, and if possible, from a developer. Thank you all, and I look forward to your replies and further input.

i totaly agree shaemiw, i was thinking of having stats dwindle as u get hungry it would add a more realistic aspect to the game, i already make hundreds of thousands fo supplying docs and medics with meat, but if i also had to supply ppl with food and chefs with stuff also it would make ranger a much more profitable profesion. good idea.
