Thread: What is the truth?????

I need some help settling a small disagreement with my wife about maximum stat mods. I believe that if you have a moded clothing, food, or armor that you can only get a maximum mod of +25 above your species maximum. My wife believes that you can only get +25 above your current level. What is the truth about this? I need to know so I can purchase the appropriate amount of Mask/Camo clothing to help me with hunting.

the truth is whatever your wife says

(or.... +25 above max level, ie: maskscent does not improve above 125... your current level is irrelevant)

So does that mean I can be decked out in clothing/mods that take me to 125?

I'm 90% sure this is how it work:

Any permanent Skillmodsis capped at +25 (armor/clothing attachments, Stats on weapons, aprons, etc...)

- Not sure how species bonuses work, ie. Bothatns +10 to conceal

Any temporary Skill mods are not capped and add to your skill mod above the +125 max.

Example:

a Ranger has +100 to Maskscent

Equips a +25 Maskscent shirt

Drinks some Jawa Beer +15 to maskscent.

Maskscent = (100/+140) and the 140 is fully effective.

You have a wife who not only likes computer games but understands them as well? Indeed you are not worthy!

Racial bonuses do stack. So Bothans can have a +140 conceal with clothing.

But bothans lose the bonus as soon as they get wet. I mean how do you hide the smell of wet dog fur from creatures in the wild?
