Yavin 4, I love this system. Full of wild game and always a target rich environment. Last night, my guildmates and I decide we needed some time in the bush, shootin' and lootin'.
One novice Doc, one master TKM/Commando and myself a Ranger/Rifleman. I needed to get these guys camo'd up so we start out the night by me pitching a field base and getting a low level buff by our doc. Our BAMF transdoshian TKM is off meditating in La-la Land and I tell 'em all that we need to get some kliknik missions first as I can use the hides and meat for my camo. Payout's 12k per mission so that gives them some nice added incentive.
We buff, pass around foods and drinks and drop my camp and start hoofing it south from the mining outpost. First lair goes off almost too easily, we out gun the klikniks in a big way. After another lair or two we start getting noticed by some giant anglers. Then all hell breaks loose.
Insects coming out of the woodwork and we're smack dab in the middle of it all. Fists, feet, swords, flames and blaster bolts flying all over the place. Adrennelin's pumping and the testosterone is ungodly high. Pretty soon the Yavin landscape is covered in insect goo and our own blood. Time to drop another camp.
First thing I do is put together three cases of camo and start applying them to my mates. After I make more traps and we all get our minds right and poison cleared we're at it again. This time, damn it all, we're gonna kill everything between us and each mission lair we have on the datapads. An hour and a half of non stop killing and harvesting. For some reason camo doesn't stick to transdoshans too well and I use two cases on the TKM when it's all said and done.
Time for a breather. Our Doc gets a wild hair and asks if anyone wants to go Imp hunting. Why not, we've killed everything else. I check the ground, sniff the wind and catch the tracks of a squad of stormies about 250m East of us. We hoof it out again and spot them in formation, ten regular troops, two very high HAM shock troops and one rather effeminate officer. Game plan, take out the shock troops first.
I set up about 60m away and the tanks charge in. The TKM drops in the first ten seconds followed by the Doc (master swords) twenty seconds later. Oh crap. I'm all alone and taking a buttload of fire. /BURSTRUN BABY!!! And I lose their argo in a matter of seconds. I catch my breath and turn around and sneak up on them now.
I get to about 57m and drop for cover then start picking them off one by one with conceal shot. My guildies, curious as to how I'd end the fight have let their ghosts stick around to watch and both of them swear to pick up rifles as I wax the entire squad... well, all but the two shock troops who catch my sillouette and commence to riddling me with blaster fire. Oh well, off to the cloners, it's not like I haven't beenhere before.
In the meantime, I managed to pick up two more lvl 4 Ranger boxes, Wayfaring IV and People Tracking.
Fun time.
