What's your favorite moment in hunting? Do you love the thrill of turning the tables on the voritor stalking you? Does it thrill you to attack a dragonet lair and one-shot the spawns? Do you long for close-up contact with a bull rancor? Perhaps you take satisfaction in sneaking past vicious creatures while exploring an area.
I enjoy being able to one-shot beasts, but my favorite part comes when a tough creature charges, only to be dropped 10m or so in front of me. It really gets my blood pumping to see the thing rear up and then drop with a thud.

A recent fun time hunting was when I was consciously trying to re-educate myself in the use of traps. started with gualama lairs and moved up to faamba and giant peko pekos. This was on TC where I am not a Master rifleman yet, and I was not using pets. Basically it was a lot of crowd control (term?) with adhesive mesh and then glow-wires, bone-spurs (if I was doing head shots), and a phrec for when the adhesive mesh wore off. THe best one was I hit a faamba lair and was able to take out four faambas at once by rooting, slowing and shooting them.
It was fun.
My most recent fun time hunting was with a big Wanderhome group on Lok. Herbivore, avian, and leathery were all excellent. We had... lets see... this was a funny group. A TK/Ranger, a MID/TK, a MID/Ranger/Carbines, a Rifleman, a Master Rifleman/Ranger/CH and a Doc/CM. It was excellent fun. And yes, we had two Master Image Designers in our group - stop laughing!
And yes one of them was a Master Image Designer/Ranger template - stop being horrified!

My favorite moment was learning how to hunt Gurks for the first time unbuffed on Lok. First Gurk went down, (3 arouind the Gurk Lair), the second I took a shot and BOTH Gurks charged me. My pet stored on meand I was left unbuffed facing two Gurks. I threw an Adhesive Mesh on one and nailed him. Used Warning Shot on the other still charging and when he started to run away, the one trapped freed up and I hit him again with another trap keeping him stationary while I spammed Headshot 3.
I dropped the second one and the third was charging me again. Hit him with a trap and spammed Head Shot 3 until he dropped. I was so psyced that I pulled off downing three gurks (Really two since my pet tanked the first one for me)unbuffed and withpoor conealment skills/knowledge. Started to rely on Warning Shot alot when I was swarmed like that.

Can image designers work their, uh, magic in a camp? If you need an emergency stat migration or holo-emoterin the field or something? Or do they need a salon with a design terminal?

They only need a salon for a stat migrate. Sadly they cannot use their skills as an offensive weapon unless the enemy groups with them... and they rarely fall for that.

I was leader of a large group in the village the other day. Another player showed up and wanted an invite, so I typed /invite so-and-so. (Can't remember his name atm.) I was in combat at the time, and for some reason the first couple tries invited the sith thug I was shooting at. Anyway, the thug wasn't remotely interested in joining up and helping to defend the village. Go figure.

and if they do they deserve it....considering everything has a timer and two windows to confirm the action.
